The LG external DVD drive works as expected and easily connects to the computer USB slot. I like the slim design which stores easily until it is needed.

I bought it to go with a laptop that didn't have a disc drive, but otherwise was the perfect computer. I use it to play dvds mostly, and once used it to load a program from a disc to my computer and it has worked fine for both. I have not yet tried writing onto a blank disc with it. Only a couple minor issues with it: 1) the tray seems pretty flimsy when it pops out, so I have to be really careful I don't break it, and 2) it runs fairly loud. Neither of these are major problems to me though. It does it's job, which is all I need.

Very easy to use. Very fast at burning. Great product. Slim and not bulky. It's black and textured and comes with a cord which is decent length.

This is handy to have when my new laptop did not come with a CD player. Compact enough to carry in the laptop case when I might need it. Very good value.

I needed a DVD drive for my laptop. I liked the thin and portable design of the LG external drive. I was able to get it to install on Windows 10 with no issues.

I read the reviews for the Apple Drive and there seemed to be just average at best. The reviews for this drive was much better and at 1/2 the cost.

Slim, easy to use, plug and play install, not noisy. Would have liked a lightEd indicator however not having one does not impact the product or it's ease of use.

I really like this drive, it works great with my new Dell 2-in-1 and slim which makes it easy to pack in a small pocket in the bag I transport them in.

We purchased a few of these for some laptops that came without drives and everything performs as expected. Slim, easy to transport. No problems recommending them.

No instructions were necessary to hook up the device. It came with everything necessary to attach to the computer and worked instantly. Very fast and accurate.

Fits in my bag with out taking up a lot of space. Works great. I got it because laptops are starting to not have CD/DVD drives anymore.

This easily hooks up to my pc and works great! Its slim and light so it is easily able to be carried in my pc bag without weighing me down.

I bought this to transfer CDs to my MacBook Air and it works really well. There have been no problems with it. For the price I paid for this, I'm very happy!

I have a solid state laptop so it doesn't have a CD drive. This drive is perffect and compact. Works great and fits in my small laptop case with the laptop.

Basic external CD/DVD drive that works. For some who use external drive extensively, might want to consider higher end product that will endure wear & tear of the drive. Others who use infrequently (once in a while), this LG might fit the bill. , this is a simple CD/DVD drive that will work well with your notebooks and netbooks, including Linux OS. Again, if you are going to use the drive extensively (every day), then you might want to purchase something more sturdy, but if you are going to use it occasionally, then this LG model is a great product for you. Highly recommended.
