This is an easy product to use. Inexpensive, makes my life easier as my computer player doesn't work.

It could have been a little simpler to use. Not a computer person and even after reading the directions more than once we did not understand what we were doing. Had to buy this after we bought a new laptop because or other laptop which was used less than 5 times stopped working. The new one we purchased did not have a built in drive... Didn't know that! This product eventually worked and did what is was supposed to. Price was fair also.

This external drive comes in handy. I love it! It is very light weight and easy to install, just by USB connection.

I have used quite a few external writers over the years. The last one was lost in a move, and I needed another for my MacBook Pro Retina. My go-to option was the Apple external. After purchasing it, I realized there were, what I perceived to be, a few flaws in their design so I returned it. I found this on sale and looked up some reviews. I quickly decided to pull the trigger and bought it. It is a nice little writer. While not as beautiful as some of the more expensive writers, it's footprint is small and it is not loud. It writes and rewrites with no problem from my Macs or my PCs. It seems durable enough considering it's small size and light weight. I give it four stars only because it doesn't' look or feel as "premium" as some of the other externals. That being said, it performs as well as them for a fraction of the cost. If money is an object or you just want a good product, look no further. If you want that "premium feel", this product is not for you.

My computer didn't have a disc drive which was something I really wanted, so the associate I was working with mentioned this as an option. It was super easy to set up and comes with media software if you're into that kind of thing. It's also extremely light and thin, making it perfect for travel.

This is a nice DVD R/W. Not bulky and fits in my laptop bag. The speed is decent and gets the job done.

This one works fine, and the software is the best part of it. Ripping and burning procedures are straightforward, which I can't say for any of the other like programs I've tried including Roxio and Microsoft. What I don't like about it is that it is bare bones hardware. When the drawer comes out you think it's going to fall apart. The black on black opening button is impossible to see in low light, and doesn't protrude much so even looking for it by feel requires groping. It doesn't sit level. The cord is prebent and gets in the way of the drawer or wants to go under the unit, which contributes to the instability. That part could be improved. The next version up looks more stable but doesn't appear to contain the software, so I don't know why it's worth the extra money. All in all though, it works, so I just put up with the poor design.

This is an inexpensive and easy add-on to a laptop without it's own internal disc drive. Works as advertised!

Easy set up right out of the box. I was able to see the picks that I had on a cd. Nice plug and play.

This is just the ticket for laptops without DVD drives. Lightweight and fast. Does use up USB port.

Bought this so I would still have the ability to burn CD/DVD's with my ultrabook, hasn't disappointed me yet.

Fast, a little bit loud but does what its suppose to do! Good for the price. Recommend to a friend.

It's very easy to use. You simply connect with USB plug and movies start. It burns CDs with speed.
