This drive was available for use almost immediately after plugging it it. The backup disks that i made were readily read by my office desktop. Overall, a very pleasing addition, since my new system did not have a DVD drive.

It allows us to load software that requires a disc. It plays DVDs. It writes data to CDs and DVDs. Where so much is moving toward digital downloads, this is a perfect product to utilize for some of the "older" materials that were once current and contemporary. Even better, the price is superb when compared to other options. Highly recommended!

So I decided to get a external disk drive like this one; it was on sale for $24.99 when I bought it. It does its job well while also being easy to set up; it is also holding up to the test of time. I highly recommend this specific external disk drive to anyone who may need use of a external disk drive.
