Dvd Write Speed External Usb Dvd±rw/cd-rw Drive - Black before purchasing. All the reviews had positive things things to say. When I opened the box I was shocked at how light the drive was. When I connected it to my Surface it worked well, no issues. The drive is small and light weight, easily portable. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Just what I needed

The LG Ultra Slim Portable DVD Writer, recommended by a floor assistant at my local Best Buy store, fills that void. The box says it is compatible with the Surface Pro 3 and 4 and does not mention the Surface 3, but it seems works fine with mine. I haven't used all it's options yet but look forward to exploring them.

Inexpensive, functional external disk drive

Giving up that feature on my laptop, left me wondering if I would regret the "plunge," but to the contrary. Utilizing flash drives, internet downloads and the LG Slim Portable DVD Writer covers all my data storage and access needs. I was pleasantly surprised by the price, too!

This allows me to load software on my laptop

However, occasionally I purchase software that needs to be loaded to my laptop from disc media. This derive allows me to do so. It works easily and has also helped out with my wife's laptop which has a broken dvd drive.
