I bought this to go along with my new iMac. It was under half of the price of the Apple superdrive and works just fine with my mac. Just plugged it in and it worked.

I went to Best Buy looking for an internal drive for my laptop but the sales person suggested an external drive as an option. I was leery at first but its been a great product. Its light weight, easy to use and fast. Great product

Works magic! I put the USB into my computer and was able to watch some of my favorite movies on DVD right away. I would recommend to anyone who is thinking of buying this because it is easy, lightweight, and affordable. I have no complaints.

I needed a CD/DVD drive for my laptop, and this is one. There weren't a lot of options in the store, and this was reasonably priced. It works and is nice and compact. It's a little bit noisy sometimes, but what can you do?

Didnt read any reviews before i purchased this drive. Gotta say ive been impressed. Granted my expectations were not high but it performs very well with all of its capabilities. I like the carbon top and it was easy to install.

I added this device as my new PC did not include one. This drive is compact and is easily carried in your backpack or whatever bag you carry your PC in. It is fast and efficient and not noisy at all.

My family needed an optical drive for our computers (both of which have no disc drives). This little guy filled that need very well. My wife uses it much, much more than I do and uses it regularly every day. We had the same model before this particular one and it wore out - which it should probably have lasted longer than 9 months. However, due to our excessive use maybe that is just to be expected. It was a very inexpensive drive anyway, so it was not big deal to replace with another. The drive is super easy to set up - literally just plug and use! It is not at all complicated.

Does everything I need it to and does it effectively. A lot of the newer laptops don't come with CD drives, this product can come in handy when such a drive is needed. Very speedy and portable.

It's small, light-weight and has rubber pads on the bottom so that it does not slide. Nothing fancy, but it is nice to have. The product feels a bit flimsy but is a good value for the price.

I purchased this with my new laptop which did not come with a dvd/cd input. I use my laptop a lot for pictures and movies so having the ability to utilize discs was essential. At first while trying to figure out how it works I was supprised that the new Window 10 laptops do not come with a program to run/play DVDs but once I downloaded a program the LG drive connected instantly and brought up the DVD. The drive does make a light humming noise and vibrates but this is not an issue for me because I usually use my headphones when watching movies. I have dropped it a few times and hit it with a DVD running inside and it still runs like a champ. Great external drive for the price, would recommend!

Very reasonable price. Small and easy to carry. Works first time out of the box -- just plug it in.

We were looking for a practical external DVD player to quickly replace the factory one installed in our desktop computer. This one works great, is easy to use, small, and economical. Everything we were looking for.

This is my second USB DVD for my ultrabook. The first one had very inconsistent results as it seemed to need more power than the port could supply. This one works flawlessly, it's smaller, and very lightweight.

Simple plug and play with Windows 7 Pro. It does come with a driver DVD but it is mostly bloatware and wasn't even needed to get the unit to work properly. It is USB 2.0 even though on the package it states 3.0 compliant. Used the loop hole that 3.0 is backward compatible I guess. It is not overly loud and is exactly what I needed for my rig to be able to play or use DVD disks. Overall good product that is kind of a must have for any system builder wanting to be able to use install CD/DVDs.There are still more than a few pieces of hardware where you will run into needing this type of drive during building and configuration of new systems.

After researching a number of options we ended up going with this Sony unit. So far it has been great. Its a great size, a snap to set up, easy to use and works great. Overall we are very happy.

Nice product that works well. It was reasonably priced. Easy to connect to a computer and use. Compact in size and fits nicely in the computer case for travel.

this unit is nice and compact so it can travel with me and i did NOT have any issues with it being recognized by Windows10. It was pretty much a plug and play and i was able to burn DVD's in minutes

This drive was easy to setup and use. Moves fast. We use it occasionally so it really fits our need which is to upload or download pictures files to CD for family. For the price, it was hard to beat.

Was upset new laptop did not have a DVD drive. This made a great replacement. It is portable and it stows nicely. It is fast and has zero lag.
