The slim line and portability of the laptop are preserved, while the added functions of the writer offer greater flexibility to my computer projects. The device was easy to install and is oh-so-easy to take along with the computer, as needed. It does everything it's supposed to do. with no problems.

Since that wasn't an option this is the next best thing. Works as it should just not my preferred preference. Its light weight and easy to use.

It worked perfectly to install software. When I realized the computer had a drive, I was a little irritated that I didn't need the drive and spent the money, but I will be able to use it with my laptop.

External DVD/ CD writer on Match 18, 2017 and I use it always everyday to watch movies or play computer games, and it's never given me any problems. It works great with no additional setup needed. Just plug it into your laptop and go. I haven't tried it with my chromebook yet to see if it's compatable or not.

Great when the DVD/CD RW fails

This was an inexpensive, easy to use fix.

needs space to run

I did get this to install on my netbook, then realized I may not have enough free disc space on the laptop. Once it got going it installed easily and came with several software features I did not expect such as a TV mode. This can plug right into a USB port on the TV. I'm very satisfied.
