Great drive for the money

It's noisy and feels a bit cheap, BUT...if you need one for an occasional disc reading/writing why would you spend 100's when you can spend 10's? This drive is PERFECT for occasional use. I highly recommend it over more expensive ones for this specific use.

That is my purpose and for me it has been sufficient. I've used it to copy old music CDs to my iTunes and also for reading data CDs. I have not written to media using this drive. For me, after some usage the discs stopped spinning and it seemed like the drive had broken. It was still powering up and starting to spin but then there would be a clicking/humming sound as if the mechanism was failing, and the discs would not spin or read. However by slightly bending the tray upward it started working again. The tray when ejected is a bit flimsy so perhaps I had inadvertently bent it slightly downward during my usage. All in all this drive does its job and the price is right.

Great disc drive

Went to best buy, they knew exactly what I needed and it was so simple. It comes with a disc to download the program with a USB connection. After that one time installation, you just insert the disc (CD/DVD/game) and it works no problem!

Inexpensive disc deive

It's extremely lightweight and could easily be broken if mishandled. You've got to be very careful when you put the disc in because you could break it it's only half an inch wide maybe. I have two of them they're perfect for travel
