I have it for 3 months now, and used it intensivly to backup my family video archive. Couldn't be more happy. Great product. I odered online and picked it up from local store. The item was ready for pickup in 1 hr. Five stars for BestBuy and my local store as well.

I needed a portable dvd drive but i didn't want to by the apple to go with my apple lap top. A sales worker said that this would work with apple laptops i was iffy about it at first but i took the chance and bought it. It does work with apple computers.

we purchased this external cd/dvd wrighter before. we bought the extended warranty (well worth it). we had the first one for almost 2 years and it stopped working for some unknown reason. took it back and they swapped it out no problem.

Needed a CD/DVD drive to install a couple programs on my new laptop - which of course no longer sports it's own CD/DVD drive. This inexpensive drive worked easily and perfectly. A little noisy, but I figured that's because it's case is so small - but works perfectly.

The LG Ultraslim was not going to be my first choice until I read all the specs between it and the other writers. It did more than the other choices and at a better price too. Easy to set up when I took it home and worked right away.

This product is exactly what i needed, slim and easy to set up. I needed a basic cd drive and this does the trick and more! The cost was right in my budget and the drive looks great and works even better.

No frills here, just does the job. Device is small, light, works well, and worked first time with no setup or recognition issues. Good value. Good performance.

I recently purchased a new laptop online and didn't realize until I got it that it didn't come with a CD/DVD drive. Rather than return the laptop, I looked into getting an external drive and this one does everything I need it to do! I'm very happy with this item.

My drive died in my pretty old pc, needed a quick fix and this did the job. it seems pretty flimsy, and you REALLY have to press a disc down hard for it to "snap" onto the disc tray...but it works fine. very easy to install, no complaints for the price.

We purchased the LG - Ultra Slim to keep with our Asus laptop. It's small case allows us to keep it in the laptop case all the time. The device is USB powered, plug and play, and boots up quickly. Seamless operation with Windows 10.

I needed a dvd writer for my new iMac. I was initially taken in by the reasonable price, < $40 and the decent reviews. However, after using the dvd writer for a couple of days ripping music to my computer, I couldn't take it any more. The writer was loud and more than once it froze up on me. If I didn't pay attention to it for a few minutes, the eject button on the writer wouldn't eject the disc inside of it. I would have to force it open by right clicking it. I had to return it. I instead purchased the Apple Super Drive. So far so good.

Laptop manufacturers (Dell) do not sell most new PCs with DVD/CD readers. I needed to install a software program from a CD. This Sony DVD writer is perfect for my needs, plug and go. The instructions are simple. It also has more extended features if I need them.

I purchased a Toshiba Satellite Radius laptop. Of course, most of the new convertibles do not include DVD drives anymore for the sake of space.I did not want to invest much money. This drive is very slim, efficient. It fits the bill as I do not use it that often.

I needed a CD drive since my new laptop didn't come with one. This drive does exactly what I needed to do: burn discs. It worked using isoburn to make bootable discs. Slim and lightweight. Pick one up if you also are without a CD drive on your laptop.

This burner is small, lightweight, and gets the job done. Love it. I used it for both my laptop and tablet and it did amazing. Would definitely recommend it.

Works just fine. Runs well on Windows 10. Haven't had any issues just yet. **I did notice that in order for it to work and be properly recognized by my PC I had to set the region to mine, otherwise it would just keep ejecting any disc I put in it.

I purchased a new computer, without a dvd/cd disc drive, my choice,, so then of course I found out that I really did need one, not often but once is enough. I highly recommend making sure your computer comes with one, if not this would be a great choice to buy.

I purchased this to go with an HP 11' laptop. It didn't come with the program that worked with this platform but I was able to find what I needed. I miss the days where the dvd writer was built into a machine. It was much easier.

Ultra slim is very convenient, slip in your carry along or in a pocket and you got excellent quality viewing in seconds anywhere you go. The writer is decent speed and great quality, I have seen better but not by much. For the difference in cost this is a great deal.
