I decided to go with a smaller laptop that would not have a built in disk drive so I bought this to use when I would need to download software. I am very impressed with how compact it is and the ease of use.

I bought this drive because my new laptop doesn't have a DVD drive installed, and much of my business software is on disk. It was inexpensive, and seems to handle everything in great fashion.

I had a little difficulty getting an older laptop to accept the software, but once it was up and running it is fine. Especially like the size of the case--they did not make it much larger than the circumference of the disc. Really appreciated that.

Its an inexpensive DVD Writer. It worked perfect for what I needed it to. The case feels a little cheap, if it was more sturdy it would have been a 5 star rating. Happy otherwise, I was able to use this to install OS on older PCs.

I wanted a DVD writer that was portable and fast. This is met the criteria. I like that it is light weight so that it does not weigh down my laptop bag.

This disk drive was exactly what I needed for my personal computer at home when my old drive went out. Needing to load just a couple of old disks on to my computer was absolutely trivial with this drive. The plug in and go attitude of the device had me underway with my projects only minutes after arriving home. The slim design that I was shown at the store makes this really nice to keep around the house should I need it again. The price also made it very nice for my wife and I so that we wouldn't need to buy a couple of Disk Drives when hers goes out as well.

I recently purchased a new HP 2 in 1 that did not have an optical drive. I bought this LG drive. It works exceptionally well with my computer. Since Windows 10 doesn't come with a "burning" software, the bundled software from LG was exactly what I needed.

I needed a cheap alternative to my broken disc drive on the laptop. I bought this cheap external disc drive and it has been working fine. I can now watch movies or use download discs again. It was cheap price wise but seems to be built well.

My laptop doesn't have a DVD port so I bought this and it really is convenient, doesn't make noise like my other laptop with DVD port does. All it need is one cable to connect to the computer and can be used also on the TV like a DVD player.

It was a little confusing getting it to work the first time, but after that it's been fine. It rips the music off my CD collection fast enough for me. I do wish I didn't always have an update from LG every time I start my computer though.

If you only use on occasion it is worth it. Must put up with invading ads constantly and quite slow and noisy. Next time I will buy a better unit. It does work, wish the cord was 12 inches longer, but it is long enough for most situations.

I needed a disc drive suddenly and this fit the bill perfectly. I'm holding onto it if I need it again. It's slim, lightweight, and works perfectly.
