It gets the job done and is light weight and doesn't take up much space. Since I don't use it that much, it's fine for me.

I was going to buy the Apple external drive until the salesperson suggested I look at this LG. Although I usually stick with Apple, I decided to give this a try and it has worked flawlessly since I bought it. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this for my 12 year old as she got a new laptop for xmas and it did not come with a CD-ROM. She loves playing The Sim's games and needed to be able to install them from the CD. Works perfectly and easy to install.

I originally got this product because the computer i bought doesn't come with a dvd drive and I do a project where i need to burn about 40 dvds. It worked great for burning the dvds. It only took a couple hours to do 45 DVDs. I did have to restart the burning process once because it randomly shut off. Although I could not playback the DVDs when I was done. In a computer you just stick them in and they go right to the media player, when i put a finished DVD back in it went to a folder. So i wasn't able to actually check if the DVD burned correctly right there on my computer. I had to find a DVD player or another computer.

Our salesperson suggested this product & it works just as he directed to download audio book CD's on to my Ipod. An unexpected feature: it can be used to play DVD's on my Smart TV!

I bought this for my cyberpower PC. It had no DVD for installation of software. I like LG products an it performs well as other reviews indicated. Plug and play and comes with music and burning software. Excellent product!!

A reasonably priced laptop with good size memory and drive storage. The SSD drive is quite fast. The light weight is a bonus, but an external CD/DVD drive was needed since none comes with the computer.

I installed this on a computer for playing DVD.The one on the computer has a vertical disc tray that many times would not work on first try.This DVD player works every time and is not much bigger than the disc itself.

I bought this external CD drive because my new laptop didn't come with one. It plays the CD/DVD without skipping and writes to a CD quickly. It's very light, which was important to me, and doesn't take up much room on my small desk.

There isn't much to say other than it working fine. The product is well priced and performs the task I want from it. I do wish that it was more easily compatible with MAC computers since the wife has one.

What can I say? It just works. If you're in the market for an external USB DVD player, this one is a great choice. I use it with my MacBook Pro and it just works. No hassle. No fuss. Just plug it in and let it spin.

Works great. I'm pleased I can load cd software and the fact I can play music is a bonus. This unit will also play video, but I have no interest so I have not tried it. Set up and install was just about a no brainer - very simple

Have an iMac without a drive so needed this for some discs my wife needed for school. Since purchase we have continued to get a lot of use out of the drive. Nice to have one around even though not needed all the time.
