This drive is perfect for our needs, works well, easy to use and very compact, fits in the laptop bag easily. Great price!

I originally got this product because the computer i bought doesn't come with a dvd drive and I do a project where i need to burn about 40 dvds. It worked great for burning the dvds. It only took a couple hours to do 45 DVDs. I did have to restart the burning process once because it randomly shut off. Although I could not playback the DVDs when I was done. In a computer you just stick them in and they go right to the media player, when i put a finished DVD back in it went to a folder. So i wasn't able to actually check if the DVD burned correctly right there on my computer. I had to find a DVD player or another computer.

Our salesperson suggested this product & it works just as he directed to download audio book CD's on to my Ipod. An unexpected feature: it can be used to play DVD's on my Smart TV!

It gets the job done and is light weight and doesn't take up much space. Since I don't use it that much, it's fine for me.

I purchased this after realizing that laptops no longer come equipped with a cd-rom drive but I had some music recording equipment that required software installation via cd-rom. This device was inexpensive and easy to use.

I bought this for my 12 year old as she got a new laptop for xmas and it did not come with a CD-ROM. She loves playing The Sim's games and needed to be able to install them from the CD. Works perfectly and easy to install.

I bought this for my cyberpower PC. It had no DVD for installation of software. I like LG products an it performs well as other reviews indicated. Plug and play and comes with music and burning software. Excellent product!!

A reasonably priced laptop with good size memory and drive storage. The SSD drive is quite fast. The light weight is a bonus, but an external CD/DVD drive was needed since none comes with the computer.

I installed this on a computer for playing DVD.The one on the computer has a vertical disc tray that many times would not work on first try.This DVD player works every time and is not much bigger than the disc itself.

I bought this external CD drive because my new laptop didn't come with one. It plays the CD/DVD without skipping and writes to a CD quickly. It's very light, which was important to me, and doesn't take up much room on my small desk.

Needed to replace the drive on a laptop that quit working and opted for an external one. This has done the job and I have no complaints with the product. It was much less inexpensive than repairing or replacing the existing drive.

Worked well and was affordable. For people with Macs without media players and have a problem downloading directly from internet and/or uploading media onto your computer such as movies, music cds and computer software.

Works great. I'm pleased I can load cd software and the fact I can play music is a bonus. This unit will also play video, but I have no interest so I have not tried it. Set up and install was just about a no brainer - very simple

The cd reader/writer on my computer stopped working and I wanted to transfer hundreds of songs from CD's to my iPod. Reviews on this product were mixed. I took a chance due to the price. Worked great. Easy set up and use.

There isn't much to say other than it working fine. The product is well priced and performs the task I want from it. I do wish that it was more easily compatible with MAC computers since the wife has one.

We recently purchased a MAC Mini and realized we needed something to handle movie DVDs and other CDs. This little device works great and my wife uses it for her art videos. Thanks for helping us choose this in Best Buy.

My kids new HP Envy laptops do not DVD available. So I bought this to install virus protection, printer discs, and older games they liked so that I didn't have to go find drivers online to download. It worked great.

I needed this for a quick software install for a laptop that didn't have a cd drive. I plugged it into my USB, it autoloaded the need software, and I was off to the races. Exactly what I needed it for!

My laptop did not have a cd drive, and nowadays it's not needed much. So this is a great affordable alternative. Plug and play when you need it, and put it away when you don't!
