Bought this external disk drive after my laptop's disk drive broke. It was going to cost a lot more to fix the laptop and I rarely use the disk drive anyway. It works exactly as expected and was inexpensive.

Works well for my "man cave". With CD's going away quickly, this is a good way to be able to access them when you need to. Just plug it in and go. It can be stored elsewhere when not needed.

I was going to buy the LG burner that was a little more expensive, but after checking the specs online, this one was exactly the same and was $10 cheaper. Works for what I need it for and it's super light!

My DVD Rw unit is compatible and functional with my Lenovo computer. THe only thing you need to be aware of is that you may have to download 3rd party software to utilize the optical drive.

this external drive was just what I needed to reboot and restore my HP mini to working condition. This product was also great for copying other files from one computer and transferring to another computer.

I have an abundance of old discs that I need to read and store. My 2010 MacBook Pro's disc drive died and I'm not willing to give up the laptop...just yet. This is an inexpensive stop-gap.

You will definitely need to buy this to be able to make backup copies of files or watch dvds as now most laptops come without disc drives. Best feature is that it is lightweight and portable

This was a discounted item when bought with our Dell laptop. Plug and Play....did try the software that came with it, not worth the trouble and not needed. It's a decent deal for the discounted price.

I purchased this DVD drive when I purchased my mini computer which did not come with a DVD drive. It is very small and doesn't take up much space. For what I needed this for it works good.
