It works well for the price if you dont have a laptop that contains a disc player, once its plugged in you have to download an app and youre ready to go

I was looking for a decent drive at a decent price and this one fit the bill. It performs as expected and allows me to move all my old CD and DVD files to SSDD.

It does everything I need it to do but it is a little noisier than I thought it would be but then again it is an external drive.

I like the price on this product and how easy it is to use! The staff definitely directed me to an user friendly, cost effective product.

I go crazy when I get a new program or when I back up a file with no DVD. This serves that purpose. I had one USB outlet and now I can do everything I want just as though I had a laptop.

My new computer did not come with the usual dvd/cd drive. I purchased the LG Ultra Slim and it works great. It's easy to use the same as if it come installed on the computer.

With laptops going away from optical ports, our office needed an external DVD Reader/Writer. This one really gets the job done, and at $29.99...you can't beat it.

Its a good drive for a laptop without an optical drive. What you gain in laptop portability you lose in drive speed. And for an optical drive it is a little noisy.

It says it's quite but it's loud. Good size but the cord is short and as stated it is loud

Purchased this to upload a program onto a laptop. It was easy to use for this purpose. But then we started using it to look at DVD instruction videos. Works great. No skipping or jumping.

I concede it is a minor annoyance to cart this slim, light drive. But only minor. And I'm glad to do it, given the portability of the light Mac Air. I'm happy with this.

Bought this to keep in my class in case of needing to show a movie clip or a movie as a reward. It works wonderfully, I was able to plug it to my laptop and it was hassle free.

If you need an inexpensive DVD burner that can do the job, look no further. My old internal laptop burner was no longer working and I did not want to shell out big bucks for another OEM part since I'm pretty much going to give my laptop away to someone less fortunate. The software is decent - it does its job in a no frills format. The burner will work with practically every other 3rd party software with no issues whatsoever. Speed-wise, it is not going to win you any races, but it will surely get you there. All I ask that it would come with a longer USB cable. But then again USB cables are a dime a dozen these days.

This seems to work fine. My first experience with an external dvd. The others that had experience with were internal. This one works the same and haven't had any problems.

Bought for my wife to use on her laptop that didn't have a CD drive. This is a simple, compact yet versatile product. It has done its job and then some.
