Great quick back up external HDD. If you're just using as storage, don't bother with the software that comes with it. Totally worthless a pain to use

What a smart thing to buy! My hard drive crashed so I got this as a just in case. It's small and easy to carry everywhere. Tons of memory makes it even better!

Works perfectly as advertised. Not hard to figure out. Now that burners are gone from most laptops, this is what one has to redort to if one wants to burn a CD...

This is a smaller laptop than I am used to, however, this is a fast, reliable laptop, and very easy to transport. It was a great purchase and I highly recommend it!

I've had a MacBook Pro for ages, but recently decided on a new one because mine was older, and I realized I wasn't burning discs as much as I used to, or importing things. I thought I'd just buy the external Apple SuperDrive, but that was another $80 and the adapter for it too. Found this guy for an unbeatable price on sale. For the limited time I'll need it, it's perfect. USB 3.0 interface, and found a low cost cable that goes directly to USB C, no adapter needed now. It's fairly quick reading, and writing as well. If you can find it on sale, go for it! Go mine for less than $20.

This is a decent external USB powered DVD-ROM burner drive. It has the ability to read DVDs and burn DVDs (and CD-ROMs of course, as most drives support earlier disc-based formats as well). It uses one USB port. This is highly useful if for example your laptop does not come with an optical drive built-in by default, as nowadays this seems to be common due to the prevalence of downloading and online streaming making disc-based media obsolete. Still, there are times when one needs to be able to use DVD-ROM or CD-ROM discs to install software, and thus this drive provides utility.

Needed a hard drive to continue viewing CD's of grandchildren as the new laptop computers don't have the ability. This is easily portable so great for travel.

it is a very nice thin device which did not hookup quite as easily as the salesperson told me it would. But once I got everything the way it should be, it worked just fine

I don't often require a dvd drive, but when I do, I find this unit to be perfectly adequate. I have it plugged into a usb hub and it responds very well.

Does what it's suppose to do. Had to get it when the cd drive in my computer broke plus it's portable so it can be used with other things like a Windows Surface.

I only burn discs a few times a year. This drive is tiny and can be kept in my laptop bag or sock drawer. The cable it comes with is extremely short.

It was simple but great! My computer did not come with a DVD player so this served its purpose. I had to download a media player but that was pretty simple too.

Bought this for my college age daughter so she wouldn't have to worry about losing projects etc in case of computer problems. Working fine as of now.

Not a lot to say about this. It's a USB DVD burner. It works fine. It's small and compact. If you need an external DVD drive, this will work just fine for you.

This worked exactly as described. I have no complaints.if you need an external drive, this one is perfect. I used it with my netbook to add my CDs to my zune.
