I now have a DVD player and burner plugged in to my new laptop which did not include one! It's so great to be able to burn CDs and DVDs for my laptop once again!

When I bought my first Apple MAC I was concerned that I had no way of copying from a CD/DVD or to play a DVD. That concern was eliminated when I purchased the USB DVD drive.

No issues with it physically. I did have a problem trying to make sense of the software included. Eventually I burned a movie my using MS software.

Works great. It's very simple and portable. Using with Windows 8.1 and 10. Has some Windows Media Player compatibility issues but works with everything else.

I bought the LG DVD/CR RW for a laptop that lacks an integrated DVD drive. The unit is low priced, installs quickly, and shows no lag when reading or writing. Very slim profile for tucking away in a laptop case.

This dvd player works well and was not expensive. It works for movies and other uses important to me. It was recommended by the sales person and was a good buy.

I had no difficulty with set up. It plays all kinds of DVDs, including work-related CDs and DVDs. It is lightweight and very portable. I would definitely recommend it.

I purchased so I could watch movies in my room late at night. I work nights but my family are on a day schedule. This worked out great with my laptop on my bed

With laptops not coming with DVD reader/writers everyone needs to have a plug n play DVD Reader now. This works just fine. Cheap and easy to use

I bought this with no great expectations because of the price, but I have been very pleased so far. A little noisy but worth the money I paid.

i bought a Dell laptop Inspiron 13 series 7000 and am finding it superb. i bought it at a great price compared to others similarly configured, about $300-$400 cheaper.

I was surprised by how inexpensive CD drives are. Since CD drives did not come on the ASUS laptop, this was needed for some older software and picture cds.

It looks like a plastic toy but it works great when your main DVD goes out. I love that it is thin, light weight and easy to carry or store. Great buy for occasional use.

This drive doesn't compliment my hair, or make a good pot of coffee, but it does what it's supposed to do. But ever since installing, LG attempts to update my laptop EVERYDAY (whether I use the drive or not). Is LG really updating their driver software daily? Seems excessive... and annoying. I guess I would recommend the drive, as there is no other option at my local Best Buy.

Excellent solution for a CD/DVD drive!! With more and more electronics not being shipped with CD/DVD drives, this is an out of the box solution that is a great substitute!

I need the CD/DVD player to load software into my new laptop. It has worked beautifully. I even used it to create backups for the laptop. No problems at all.

This product was purchased to replace the drive in my computer that stopped working. I did have to download some software, which seemed unnecesary, but had to use it.

Read/write devices are still useful and this one is an excellent price for using when nothing else will do. Did I point out the great price?

This is a great dvd reader/writer for people on the go. Connecting directly to the computer instead of the wall outlet makes it great when you are on the move.

I bought is drive so I could make copies of cd's at work. It functioned better than I expected as far as speed and quality. Very happy with this purchase.
