I bought this because my computer did not have a card reader. It is very easy to use and I can use it on my desktop and laptop computer without any problems.

Easy to plug and play. Works great, have to be careful when placing disk, tray doesn't not extend all the way.

Originally I was looking for a different drive but after talking to a best buy rep. I decided to buy the lg ultra slim. so far there a no regrets, the device functions properly and I have been using it with my macbook pro and desktop and had no problems what so ever. the device is recognize by both system. I've been burning some old videos and it is great no problems at all. Highly recommended.

Great device. Very slim and light weight, good working. And the price is awesome.

Good for external drive. Easy to install. Easy to switch to another computer. A little slower than the old internal drive, but overall a good replacement.

Seems a bit flimsy but works great. I liked the idea of an external DVD writer as I do not use it as much as I once did. Keeps the my laptop lighter and I just need to plug it in when I need it. Best buy gave me a nice discount on it when I purchased my laptop. I would not say it would be great for a tone of burning but works great for the occasional use. Very Satisfied.

Be aware you may have to load additional software to view videos but cds work well. Definitely the way to go if pc does not have a dvd drive

I'm not good at downloading new printers, so I got this because my computer didn't come wit ha Disc drive. Plus I can upload my 80's CD to my new computer.

I've already burned a few music cds. It is a little loud when it's burning. Still, it wasn't too expensive to purchase. It's pretty compact.

This LG did burner is easy to set up, easy to use. Makes a great addition to my CPU and needed for my laptop as it did not come with a burner. Highly recommended!

This does exactly what it needs to. No frills, but works perfectly. I've ripped 50 or so of my DVDs without a hiccup.

I bought this CD/DVD player because my new laptop didn't come one, and I am glad I did. It works great, and it's slim enough to take anywhere. Love it!

Very quiet works great with my apple pro..it's quiet..much cheaper than apple brand external cd drive but works just as well.was able to burn and rip cds

I have found this a useful peripheral for a laptop that does not have a built-in CD/DVD reader/writer. The only drawbacks are very minor: it sits flat on the desk, so it takes up a little more area than absolutely necessary, and the USB cable is rather short. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. I'll probably make a small stand so it can be vertical and just use a longer USB cable or plug it into a powered hub with a longer cable. With more laptops having fewer built-ins, the need for lots of USB ports and cables longer than 24" has become important.

Very readonably priced. Worked well on my MacBook Pro. Saved me the cost of replacing my DVD drive just to install a piece of software. Highly recommend.

Just plug in and go. I really like the compact size. I can store it in my computer bag without taking up a whole lot of room or adding lots of weight..

It's a good and portable device that I can use with my Macbook pro and interchange with my son's windows computer. Easy to use. It's great!

Small footprint on the desk. Very thin, but don't lay stuff on top of it. Really no complaints from me. Cost Effective!
