I was going to have to buy and older and larger MAC to watch DVDS. A Best Buy employee suggested buying this to use on the MACBOOK air and it works great!

I got this for my Surface pro 3 and it worked like a charm. I used it to play video games and watch DVD movies. I had no problems and just love it.

I purchased this because my laptop didn't have a dvd drive. It works perfectly fine and didn't see anything different from an already installed drive.

The product works like a champ. Just plug it in and everything worked perfectly (I am using it to store/backup/share my computer files).

Runs quietly when playing a movie. Good quality, and the price was right. Looking forward to being able to upgrade to a Blu-ray drive in near future.

I bought this looking for something to play DVDs on as I'm on the road or at the gym for P90x. It's great compact size allows just that with ease of use.

My internal DVD writer went out on my PC. I purchased this in order to view and save documents. I have not had any problems. Pretty much plug and play.

Most new laptops do not come with a CD ROM Drive. This was cheap priced and did the job I needed it to. IT'S SLIM FITS SMARTLEY IN MY COMPUTER CASE

My computer didn't have a cd drive so I absolutely needed this device as a teacher. The device attaches to my computer and I am able to view all my cd's in class.

Needed this since I bought a laptop with no optical drive. Just used it to load some old software so far. It's slow and a little noisy, but gets the job done. Cheapest one Best Buy sold at the time, that's what you get. I would recommend to a friend if they want just a minimal drive to load software, burn a CD or back up files to CD (does anyone do that anymore?)

I 'm very pleased! I went from widows Vista to Window 10 and needed to install some CDs. It works great!

Was suggested to look at the LG Slim Portable DVD Writer by the Best Buy rep Josh. It was easy to install, works as advertised. Very pleased. Worth the price.

This DVD drive is what I need for the compute. I need a way to read DVD. This was the only thing that my was missing. I have everything that I need now.

Now days, most things you can either download or put on a flash drive to transfer. Nice to have in a pinch and easy to store. Plug and play as well.

I found a great selection of hard drives at Best Buy. This one was a good price and had a lot of storage. I am technically challenged but found it very easy to us.

I haven't used this item very much yet because it requires downloading a software to the computer you need to use it on. The computer I need to back up is old and having problems and won't stay on long enough for me to install the software and move items to the external drive. This makes the drive almost useless to me. I don't know if this is how all external drives work, so although I'm disappointed, it may just be my lack of knowledge letting me down.

I needed this to transfer some software to my Surface and Apple MacBook Air. Product was well priced and has worked perfectly without a hitch.

It's pretty quiet and it works flawlessly. The last one I bought that was more $$ made me go through all kinds of setup stuff which I didn't do...
