Purchased an an All-in-One in July 2016 and then realized at tax time I needed a DVD DRIVE to do my taxes. Did not know exactly what I needed since I am not a tech guru, but when the sales associate showed me this I was elated that it was not a "tower" and the price was very reasonable. Set-up was easy and it satisfied my initial reason for purchasing.

I bought a 2 in 1 laptop that did not have a built in dvd drive. So I bought this external DVD drive and it did the job. It was easy to install and very small. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because every time I turn on my laptop the driver of the drive keeps on popping up which I just hit the enter button to get rid of it.

Had to have this for my new Windows 10 laptop. Does anything come with drives anymore? Great price and drive performs flawlessly with no issues installing on Windows 10. Quick transfer speeds, could be a little quieter. Very light and portable, powered by USB no no need for other charging. One cord simply operation. Great product for price.

Since my laptop is the Surface Pro 3 and it has no DVD drive, I wanted an outside drive for only occasional use. I found that this one was on sale so I bought it. I had a few issues with installing the software, but it seemed to eventually work itself out. Now it provides the service I need. It is small and light, which makes it easy to use.

Again, I'll be direct - Just like your old dvd read/writer. Use is intuitive. Hasn't failed yet Unfortunate that it is an additional piece of equipment to your computer. I gave this a 4-star for that reason only (even though it is technically the computer's fault).

This thing is loud, but it works well. Plus it's really thin, and I have a ginormous laptop that barely fits in its carry bag, so this little thing slides in the side pocket just fine and is very light. Just be sure to install the drivers, otherwise it may do a few weird things. Great for a pack around cd/ DVD drive.

When purchasing the new computer system, it did not come with a dvd/cd drive. That was not a problem. The helpful salesman showed the selection and helped me select the right one. Utilizing one of the USB ports, I simply plugged it into my system and it has become part of the system's family. It is a great size and it too is very fast.

I needed an external CD/DVD drive for my SP4, and this works perfect. I have it plugged into my Surface docking station and sitting on my monitor stand. I pretty much only use it to import music from CDs to my computer (because I am still a guy who likes to buy physical CDs and keep them). Overall - this product is working great.

Easy to use, slim size, lightweight and easy to store

Many newer computers leave out the built in dvd and this external solved the dilemma. Not that I use one often so I dont really need a built in leaving room for other components or lighter weight but when I need it this small, light weight external dvd plugs in and does what I need...install to saving files.
