Many appreciate the impressive HDR capabilities, although some find the HDR performance somewhat underwhelming. I became very excited to get my hands on this unit as it appeared to be a very hiigh spec unit that is compatible with Nvidia and also AMD Freesync at the same time where most are one or the other. Let me say that when this arrived I thought I may have been delivered the wrong item simply because of how massive the box was, looked like a 55" TV may be inside of it but was mainly because of how protective the packaging was soo kudos to LG on that. I in anticipation of this monitor arriving tried to do some research on connections and settings and also whether anyone was having any issues to date. There was not a whole lot of info available but it appears that some people were having issues with dead pixels but to date this has not been anissue for me at all. My current system is: Ryzen 9 5900x, RX 6900XT, 64GB of Ram, I am currently running 2 monitors , one of which is the 32GQ950 and the other being an Asus 32" 4k and I utilize the 1.4 display ports for both. I mainly use my pc for any type of gaming and also for CAD software which I use intensively for work. I have been very satisfied both under working and gaming conditions but have to say this unit excels compared to my Asus, the colors are extremely sharp and rich as well as a very sharp refresh rate. My 6900xt has been more than capable of handling the 4k upgrade and my 5900x has experienced a 5-10 degree increase depending on the task but this was expected when gaming. I have noticed that there are some reviews of people having a problem getting the 144hz at 4k in some games while on full screen however this issue has not arisen for me. The build quality with the LG 32GQ950-B monitor is top notch in every way, any LG TV or Gaming Monitor I've ever had has always been great in every way and lasted much longer than I would expect. I suggest using the calibration settings found on rtings.com as they seem to be working out great for me. These are the settings that I am currently using: GAME MODE- (Gamer 1) GAME ADJUST- (Overclock: ON) - (Black Stabilizer: 55) - (Response Time: NORMAL) PICTURE ADJUST- (Brightness: 90-100) - (Contrast: 68) - (Sharpness: 50) - (Gamma: MODE 2) - (Color Temp: CUSTOM) - (R/G/B: DEFAULT) - (Six Color: DEFAULT) - (Local Dimming: OFF) - (DFC: OFF) GENERAL- (SMART ENERGY SAVINGS: OFF) If you want a 32" 4K gaming monitor with excellent true to life colors at 144hz, 160hz overclocked then this is the one you should get. It is the perfect size for 4K gaming, very bright, whites are really white, blacks are deep and sharp blacks, no flickering whatsoever, the colors in sRGB mode are stunning in 10bit and 12bit mode, HDR mode is viable but could be slightly better, it's a fast monitor with no blur at all, so it's great for any game you can throw at it, it's 144hz and 160hz, it also has great ventilation which means it doesn't get hot at all, the user interface is great and easy to navigate, you can VESA mount or use the stand which is strong heavy and very sturdy, the QC seems to be all around great, anti-glare is very nice, if you can get this LG 32GQ950-B gaming monitor on sale then don't hesitate to do it, you won't be disappointed at all.

I never thought I would use a word like breathtaking to describe a piece of electronics equipment, but this monitor is breathtaking. From the second you fire it up you will be amazed and the bright beautiful crisp and clear colors that are on the screen. This is by far the best computer monitor I have ever seen (and I’ve used a lot of them!) The setup was very easy. You just clip the stand shaft onto the back of the monitor and then use the one screw to attach the shaft to the stand. No tools required! You will literally have it assembled in less than 5 minutes after taking it out of the box. There are a bunch of different inputs on that back so you will be covered. It has a DisplayPort 1.4 With DSC and 2 HDMI 2.1 ports as well as 2 USB ports. There are also cool customizable lights on the back of the monitor as well to give that “gaming monitor” look. I tried it with both my PC as well as my PS5. They both looked absolutely amazing! I think it really shined when I had it hooked up to the PS5. The graphics looked absolutely stunning. The movement was so fluid with absolutely no tearing or stuttering or anything like that. Definitely having that fast response time gives you an edge while playing a game. Especially when playing against other people. Its not something that can really be explained, you just have to see it and experience it to know what I’m talking about. It also has AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to use when its hooked up to your PC to help minimize tearing I also do photo editing as well as creating drone footage to sell. When I had this hooked yup to my PC it helped immensely having that nice color accuracy when I was color grading my drone footage. There’s something about the Nano IPS displays that just burst with color! If you are looking for a new gaming monitor for your PC or PS5 you will definitely not be disappointed with this one! Even if you just go graphic design or photo and video editing this will help you immensely with how bright and color accurate the display is. I can’t recommend this enough!

If only the price were better

Short of any QA issues this monitor will provide one of the best 32in 4k IPS panels available. Monitors are still behind when it comes to HDR compared to televisions so be aware that this only has 32 edge lit zones (twice as many zones as most edge lit competitors though). Input switching has to be done manually and there is no KVM, alt DP, or usb C power delivery features. Overall, for gaming it isn't a bad choice, but the price even when on sale feels a bit too much.

    Built to fail.

This monitor lasted me 1 year and 4 months before it decided to just stop working with no warning. I take great care of my equipment. There was no external damage and I hadn't even moved it in the months leading up to its sudden dysfunction. So no reason on my end for it to randomly quit working. Of course it was 4 months passed the one year warranty so Best Buy and LG both refused to help. It's ridiculous as I have several older monitors from other brands that have lasted over eight years. Never buying from Best Buy or LG again. Terrible brands.
