I love this watch! The display is gorgeous and so is the strap. I own several smartwatches and this one by far, is the most elegant!

Working perfect, It's elegant or sport if you'll change the wristband. I changed mine with a metal one. Is not big but it has a masculine design. Its a turn heads watch, be prepare for everyone asking you about the fancy watch you're wearing.

I'm a watch collector, and I've been wanting to add a smart watch to my arsenal for awhile now. I've tested out a handful of smartwatches before but this is my first purchased one and it's perfect for my needs. Battery easily lasts a full day, charging is fast and easy, and I've yet to experience any issues eith connectivity. If I had to come up with a flaw, I'd say the microphone for voice commands isn't as sensitive as I'd like, but even that's stretching it. Combine this watch with a custom face app and you've got yourself a personalized conversation piece on your wrist.

I have been using this watch for about a week now. I am not sure if I love it yet. The functionality is nice but the size is the problem. 46mm is quite large and with the leather band it does not sit nicely on my wrist. I am an average size guy. The weight of it continually makes it want to roll off to the side. Plus accidental contact of the screen turns it on or makes a different screen come up. I downloaded a bunch of watch faces which are cool and make access of some of the features like the daily schedule or weather come up easily which is great but I just don't think I can get past the size/comfort of the device. It makes it easily through a day on a charge. After the first 3-4 days of playing with it I would say I now use it light to moderate usage and by the end of the day I am only about half through the battery. I don't know if putting a steel bracelet on it would have it sit better. I tend to think not. I love the android operating system and even though I use Samsung phones I did not want the Tizen OS. If you can get past the bulkiness of this device it is a great product but not necessary. At 250$ it is a decent deal and the look of it is nice and not cheap like some of the black plastic smart watches out there. Another week or so and I will make the decision whether to keep it or not.

My Android Wear Experience

I bought my LG Urbane on November 12, so I have been using it for a little less than a month.
Initial Impressions:
They had no display model, so I was pleasantly surprised when I unboxed it at home. I like that it only has one side button, it makes it seem more like a traditional watch. It fits well with formal/office work wear or dressy casual. I bought a Zenwatch2 to use for casual wear, so I could improve the longevity of the Urbane. I let the battery charge to full before I paired and initialized the phone. The Urbane has better voice capture performance over the Zenwatch. It has a pleasantly sharp and bright screen, although I have heard a common complaint being that it does not have an ambient light sensor for setting auto brightness.
Usage:
I do not use the fitness features. I primarily use the watch as a second screen for my smartphone, intended for catching notifications and phone calls without having to take my phone out of my pocket. This part is really cool and worked /almost/ flawlessly (I did factory reset my Galaxy S6 and both watches two weeks in, after which notifications have been 100%).
I really like being able to NAVIGATE from the watch, it is easy to glance at while driving, very practical. Another huge plus. Always works.
I really like being able to TAKE NOTES and make REMINDERS from the watch using the OK google function, and it works most of the time. In the beginning, there would be times when I would OK Google and find that the watch was not paired to my phone, and I would have to "wake up" my phone and then it would be ready to take commands. After I did factory resets on my devices, it actually works perfectly now.
Watch faces are fun, but I wonder if they were part of the problem before the factory reset (too many watch modules active or something). Really cheap prices (99c - 3$) for a change in the look and customized function of your watch. I use analog watch faces since the housing on the Urbane is so nice. But I have not reinstalled most of the watch faces I purchased since I am not sure if they were part of the problem - not a terrible problem, I picked a few of my favorite for now. I would like to be able to access that library without issue though.
Final Thoughts:
The guts on the Zenwatch and the Urbane are pretty similar, one does not feel particularly faster than the other. The Urbane is in a much nicer housing and display, and is more attractive to use. It fits awkwardly on me but I have fairly slim wrists, so it should fit for most people.
I like where Android Wear and wearable technologies are right now. Apple Watch interface is super cluttered. Android Wear makes navigation easy, keeps the boundaries of the watch's operation simple, and relies on the watchmaker to sell the rest on fit and styling.

I've had this smart watch for a little over two months now and I've had nothing but a great experience. I was originally afraid of the watch scratching easily due to the glossier finish, but I have not found a one even after a few cringe-filled hits. I charge it every night along side my phone, though it can go about somewhere between a day and a half and two days without a charge. I've had all of the LG Android Wear smart watches from the start and have been nothing but happy with them with everything from the always on P-OLED display to the snappy processor. Last but not least, it looks like a real watch on your wrist at a glance. Not the tin can exterior and flat tire screen of the current Moto 360.

The LG Watch Urbane is absolutely beautiful. The first day I put it on and walked around campus, I received several acknowledgements about the watch. People thought it was a standard analog watch until the screen came on when I raised my arm! People loved it and I love it! I still think that android wear can get better and have better integration with apps and such. I believe I only had two apps that worked with the watch itself but I was using a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, not sure if other phones would integrate better. I didn't like that many of Samsungs apps don't work with the watch, such as S-Health and photos. You'd have to have the Google versions of these apps such as Google Fit and the Google Photos app, which just meant more apps on my phone.

Good Watch with a Few Issues

I bought this right after Black Friday, but I didn't keep it long. I had previously purchased an ASUS Zenwatch 2, but had to take it back since it wasn't the fastest (although it is a great watch for the price). I was hoping this one would perform better for the premium, and it certainly did. I switched between an iPhone and a Nexbit Robin, and that worked well for a time until the Bluetooth wouldn't function properly between the iPhone and the watch (which may have just been an Android Wear issue). Otherwise, it had been a good experience for me. The swiping was fluid, navigation is easy on the large screen (which gets quite bright, allowing for good visibility outdoors) and the battery easily got me through two days. Although it is now an older model, I'd still recommend it if it's on sale, but be wary of buying at Best Buy. Odd enough, those are the ones I always have an issue with. Have a store associate open the box for you to make sure all the items are inside before purchasing, regardless of what it says outside. I received one that had an entirely different strap and was missing the charger for it, and I had to get a refund. Be cautious.

I've been looking at reviews for fitness watches until my eyes feel like they're going to fall out. Many watches and fitness bands had the features I wanted and a few were even reasonably priced. But most just plain looked plastic and cheap. Even the highly regarded Apple Watch looked horribly cheap. Then I saw an advert for the LG Urbane watch. WOW! Not only did it look better than 'nice' it actually looked like it deserved to be worn on a man's wrist all the time -- not just during exercise. Best Buy was the only local retailer that had it in stock. So I bought it. It synched easily with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The Android Wear app installed quickly and allowed me to choose from dozens of watch faces that offer a variety of useful data. I like the variety and I change the faces to suit my mood and/or needs. I can monitor my sleep patterns by way of graphs on my phone to see how well and how deep I slept. I can even record what I utter during sleep. It counts my daily steps even when I'm walking without my phone. On long walks or bicycle rides I take my phone along so that I monitor my heart rate and I can map my route using GPS. The watch alerts me to new notifications like Facebook, voice mail activity, emails, weather alerts, etc.. I can turn off notifications that I don't want. The watch and phone communicate constantly. There are endless possibilities but the watch doesn't have a microphone so it can't answer phone calls like the Apple Watch. But it costs much less and there are other watches that rival Apple if you want to leave your phone behind and still have cellular functionality. I'd recommend the LG Urbane to anyone who wants a good looking watch with fitness capabilities and more.

I tried a few smartwatches, and so far this is the best. The size it just right for a medium build person. The style is good for everyday use, or occasional event such as hiking, camping, or formal. Battery usually last an average of 2 days for me. Over all, a good smartwatch to start with. The only downside for me would be that you can't answer your calls without your phone. With that extra function of talking on the watch, then it would be perfect.

This watch is amazing and fun to use. However the one catch is that smart wear is still technically new in the functions and features it can really do. So if you're new to smartwatches or still on the fence I'd say try a Moto 360 before emptying you're wallet on this. After a while I really grew tired or felt like I was limited or didn't have as much to do on the watch than I originally thought which then caused me to have buyers remorse. Long story short I returned it. It doesn't mean the watch was bad though. It's a beautiful design and I enjoyed playing with the watch faces. The battery was ok probably better if I didn't have always on feature on. Comes back to what I said originally though and that is just how many things can you do with the watch that can justify it?
My best advice would be to wait a couple years for the new field to grow and develop into more features and functions. As it is now it's still being developed and evolved which is great experience wise to join in on that ride but I'd rather see a fully mature product. Not something to play with and wait to have more things on it to play with.

Good battery life with always-on disabled (just bring your wrist up, and the screen activates), but no light sensor for automatic brightness. Microphone and software is accurate enough for voice-to-text SMS replies. The design is much better than the square counterparts from other companies and second only to Huawei's offering in terms of style. LG's software does less out of the box than what Asus does for their ZenWatch; a pulse checker is about it for the Urbane.
Can't recommend it at full price but on sale or open-box it's more reasonable.

I am totally in love with this watch I wanted the Heuwii(?) but it's $400. I had the Samsung Gear (sucks because it is not TRUE Android Wear) ZenWatch 2(didn't like the black space around the screen but a worthy purchase) and now this Urban. ONLY complaint is that you can't make calls on it (which I don't do anyways but I like to have options) I paid around $150 for this watch and I am happy until I can splurge on the $400 that has higher resolution (better screen quality). But don't mistake me this one shows great, I get compliments all the time and my battery last all day and some. I have several apps from the playstore which lets me customize my screen and helps conservation of battery life.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift and he loves it! When I first saw pictures of it online I thought it looked ugly, but the watch looks handsome in person. The dial is big and has many good looking watch faces. As other reviews say you can't use it to be on a call (you must use your phone) so you have to have your phone with you. All the functions are great, however, there is one thing I wish was better. When you lift your arm to look at the watch, the face is supposed to come alive, but it either doesn't work or there is a delay at times. It's not a big deal, but it is quite handy if your other hand is not free.

The LG Urbane has the most attractive styling of the many smartwatches I researched. It is something you will be proud to wear, stylistically. If you are not looking for a exercise band, the options are more limited than you would expect. The watch easily synced with my phone using the Androidwear app and maintains a wifi connection to my home network. The app options compatible with Androidwear grow periodically, making the watch even more useful for me as time passes. I love the functionality, including gesture controls that allow for navigation without touching the screen (a great feature for working in the hospital setting). My only complaint is tied to the voice control. It often works perfectly, but sometimes requires a second "ok google" for it to pickup. Once it identifies that you are giving a command, that feature works well. Additionally, it never capitalizes the first letter of a sent text, despite capitalizing the beginning of every subsequent sentence. It's not a big deal but an odd quirk. Overall, I love the Urbane and definitely recommend it.

This has been a very nice watch at a great price. I bought an open box for $204.00 and I love the watch. The battery will last a "full day" and I love all the features, but I still like my "Pebble Steel" also. The Pebble will last 5-6 days but it doesn't have all the functions of this LG U. I love them both, and depending on what I'm doing, it's tough to say which one I would pick. I love them both, but you can't got wrong with either one.

This watch is waterproof and lasts 1 1/2 days. You can see and respond to emails, texts and phone calls. You can even watch youtube videos on it. This is an amazing watch and I am happy with my purchase. There may be other bluetooth watches that come out but this one has all the features you need. It even has over 8 different vibration patterns you can set for different apps. How good is that!!!

The LG Watch Urbane is a great android watch for someone looking to get their first Android wear. Having used a Samsung smart watch earlier, the round dial, sleek look and watch-like feel makes the device feel more like a watch and less like a gadget.

I have enjoyed wearing this watch from day one, everyone seems to notice right away that it is not a typical watch and I enjoy showing off the features that it has and all of the different faces that I have to display. I like that I can now view texts and alerts without being interrupted and also being able to respond back to those texts without having to take my phone out.
