This BBC science documentary is narrated by David Attenborough. It makes life science fascinating and the HD quality is stunning. Although I have not seen the version narrated by Oprah Winfrey, I have read many reviews saying that the Attenborough version is superior.

This is a great nature documentary involving 150 shoots on all seven continents and all scenes are filmed in HD. I really like the making of features after the chapter stories which show you exactly what it took and how they filmed different scenes you just watched.

Picked this up for a great price. This is the version you want: Attenborough speaks with an authority and gravity that Oprah can only dream of. Visually it features some of the most skillfull, breathtaking camerawork you will ever see. A work of art.

I first started watching planet earth when the first series of videos were released. Another timeless classic that any age, gender, or person can enjoy. So much education and learning while all being amazed at the wonders of life throughout the world.

A wonderful 4 disc set that never ceases to amaze! Narrated by none other than David Attenborough. A cinematic marvel with amazing clarity, color and some footage that is almost unbelievable. I hope the BBC continues to produce these wonderful documentaries.

If you enjoyed Planet Earth, or nature documentaries in general, you'll love this. Visually breathtaking, well scored and narrated by David Attenborough. This is the BBC version you want- No offense to Oprah who narrates the Discovery Channel version.

This was a re-purchase for me, as I bought this when it first released. It hasn't lost anything along the way, it is still the most amazing documentary I have seen. Looks stunning in HD. Really hope they come out with BBC in 4K. Paid $14.99

So much better without Oprah and her condescending narration. Not as good as planet Earth but close so I do recommend this purchase. I got my blue ray for $14.99 and I believe it has been worth every penny. You can't go wrong with David Attleborough

Every person should add this blu-ray set to their collection. It is visually stunning and extremely informative. I like to put it on while cleaning up around the house, but I tend to find myself watching it more than cleaning up, haha.

If you enjoyed Planet Earth series, you will enjoy the Life series. Please be *very careful* to buy the BBC version that this review is written for. The other (US) version has been ruined due to the US narrator chosen specifically for the US series.

The Entire series is amazing. Expertly shot and directed, and narrated by the single greatest man in the business. Like Earth before it, it gives the viewer a glimpse inside many worlds which they would not be otherwise able to see. Highly recommended!

This is from the same creators of BBC Planet Earth and that didn't disappoint. So this won't either! This Earth is amazing and so are we and everything else that lives on it! This just shows how similar yet unique all living things are!

Originally had the DVD version but now that the series is getting older the price has come down quite a bit. Couldn't resist the Bluray version on sale. Great camera work and interesting narration by David Attenborough. Recommended.

If you like Planet Earth, then this is a no brainer. Excellent quality and David Attenborough hosting. Great combo. I wouldn't hold out for this to come out on 4K, because it wasn't filmed in that to begin with.

This is a great showcase of life's wonders as well as those technological ones in your home. Gorgeous scenes, colors, etc display on the screen as you get to delve closer than ever into different facets that nature has to offer.

I thought Planet Earth was awesome. LIfe exceeds the greatness of its predecessor with even more splendor this time about the varied life for,s which inhabit out planet. Beautiful HD transfer and top notch narration all around.

The cinematography is absolutely beautiful and the narration by David Attenborough is intelligent and soothing. Far better than the Oprah version. This will be good for years to come.

The BBC knocks it out of the park again with this brilliant documentary narrated by David Attenborough. If you enjoy any other BBC documentaries or nature documentaries in general I recommend this series.

This documentary is a must for anybody who enjoyed planet earth and any other nature film narrated by David Attenborough. I got it for a great price during deal of the day. I highly recommend it.
