Life is Strange 2 is a GREAT game. If you’re not familiar with the title at all, life is strange is an episodic game split into 5 episodes. If you buy the disc version of the game you will have the first 4 episodes and then need to download the 5th using a code provided to you when you buy the game. Getting into the actual game, I wasn’t sure what to expect with this but I was very surprised by what came to be of life is strange 2. The first two episodes are a bit slower than the last three, but they provide a lot of backstory into the lives of Sean and Daniel Diaz (the main brothers you play as). Their story is amazing and heartbreaking. This game made me laugh and made me bawl my eyes out. I’ll use this as sort of a “trigger warning” by saying this game includes heavy themes of racism. Some scenes, characters, lines, etc might make you uncomfortable but I assure you, it’s supposed to. I found the decisions in this game to have more impact than, say, the choices in Life is Strange or Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The choices you make in game effect Daniel’s morality, which in turn effects when and how he uses his power (if at all). There are 7 different endings to the game, so even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time, the choices you make do matter.

Love the original so I decided to get 2 and I was not disappointed. Cause and effect sums it all up. Choices make this game fun. I actually play for hours. Although I got used to the original characters in 1, I still enjoyed the new ones in 2.

It was fun to play through but the story wasn't quite as interesting as the first game. Still highly recommended to fans of the first.

    A Very Emotional Journey

I really liked LIS2, but liked #1 better. #2 is full of emotions just like #1. I liked the story of Sean and Daniel and their road trip adventures. There are many twists and turns. They portray a pretty realistic brother relationship- especially at their ages. I did feel the story dragged on in different places. I often just wanted them to get to Mexico already. I felt #1 offered more choices overall, and it was a better paced story. There wasn’t a lot of extra downtime. But if you like LIS then you should play #2. It’s worth the ride with the Wolf brothers.
