Bought this as a gift for wife and daughter after buying one for my iphone last year. Now they never run out of power during the day. For size, they keep it off in their purse until needed. They made me promise to buy them one for their Samsung's after I picked mine up on sale and showed it to them. In the past I had to keep my phone off at work due to dead zones in my building. Now I can leave it on so I don't miss messages when passing through a reception area. By the end of the workday, I can recharge with it and don't worry about forgetting to plug it in at night as it will last through the next day.

The LifeCHARGE S4 charger works well and does what it is supposed to do. However, when its in use it can get a bit hot on the back side to the point that one time when I was using it, my phone, and my GPS with maps it shut the phone down from overheating. (the phone said why it was shutting down just before it did it.) This unit also gets hot to the touch on the back when it is charging, but after charging is complete it cools down again. A note: its not "Too hot to touch", just what I would consider hot to the touch.

Having an external battery right in the case is fantastic! It minimally adds length and depth to the phone. Great to have extra battery power without having to remember to bring an extra battery/extra piece.

So I am like most people plug it and forget it... Failed to read the manual that states that you have to press the power button for it to work. Overall is a good product. I am glad I got it on the deal of the day.

I like the new case because I only have to use it occasionally as a back up. It is nice to have a backup that you can attach to your phone and it is not big and bulky.

Good sale price for a backup battery. It also can be used as a protective case. My S4 fits easily into and out of the case. Its heavy, weighs more than the S4, but workable. The bad part is it can only power up the S4 to ~75%. Even when the backup battery is at full charge. Still, it's better than no power at all.

My phone always dies and this was the perfect solution for the price. Not super bulky like other cases.

Case has good long lasting battery life... enough to get you through the long days of swim meets... waiting and waiting for your kids events. :)

Great product, great price during buy of the day. The battery life is almost doubled. I wish they made it for the S4 Active since the battery life is so short.

extra battery is always with you and it adds extra protection to the phone. I was able to buy on sale so it made the price point very good compared to other separate battery options. I like the idea of it looking like it is just part of the phone.

it is great when being away from home, and constantly using the cell phone, that extra power saves time that do not have to be in one place, can recharge your phone on the go.

I returned this product as it was useless. It drained my battery and made it take 4 times as long to charge. It ran hot, and damaged the charging connector on the bottom of my phone. I would recommend nobody purchase this item.

I really wanted to return this but time went by so quickly that I just kept it. I found that it didn't work as well as I thought it would. Also my phone e got really hot when I was using it.

Worst product ever. Do not purchase. Save your money

I have a battery pack for recharge but not near as easy as slipping my phone into this charging case.

I love this item cause there is times that I can't get to an outlet to charge my phone. So it is so nice to have this item.

Got it because it was on deal of the day, uber cheap.... Love it, had others, never happy with them...

Overall the charger does what is says. I can go close to 48 hours without a charge under normal use. The case does add a little size to the phone but, that's to be expected. The case itself allows access to all ports and feels nice in the hand. It is slightly rubberized, meaning it is not slick feeling when you hold it. As with any case, it does take away from the speaker but only slightly as Ontrion did put a cutout in the back for the speaker. I would not test its ability to absorb an impact. The case is more designed to protect the corners and back from scrapes and scratches. The one major flaw and this is a show stopper for me, is the inability to sync using the data cable while the phone is in the case. I spoke with Ontrion tech support and they acknowledge that the phone is unable to sync while in the case. Unfortunately, because I sync so frequently and removing the case is a hassle, I will be returning the case. If syncing via cable is no big deal, then the case is a far better option than carrying spare batteries. If not, definitely go the battery route. Also, I would not pay 69.99 for the case because of this one flaw. OEM batteries are far cheaper. If you can pick the case up for a price point south of $30 then it's worth it.
