I first saw this movie with my dad when I was about 13 and remember thinking I can't believe he's letting me watch a naked girl's breasts?! Then she sucked the "Lifeforce" out of him and it quickly became one of my favorite movies. Funny how the extra features show that she didn't even speak English at the time of filming and was previously a ballerina with no goals to ever get in the acting business. Overall it's a great movie with a basic story line involving a extraterrestrial type of space vapires that suck the life out of you. It also comes with a rotating DVD case paper giving you the option to have the original or animated cover. I added a pic if your curious.

This is going to be a cult classic! It’s better than many scifi/horror movies.

Lifeforce is one of the true underrated masterpieces not just of horror/sci-fi, but of the recently passed Tobe Hooper's catalog. (In fact, it happens to be my favorite of his, edging out even Texas Chainsaw Massacre). Once again, I find myself double-dipping in order to get my hands on a Scream Factory release, and as is usual, they impress, especially in the remaster. While not chock-full of new extras, it's a great visual quality here, along with both versions of the film: theatrical and the Director's Cut and a combination of several new extras and those ported from MGMs DVD version. The film marks one of the earliest appearances of Patrick Stewart, although his role is somewhat limited, as well as the stunning Mathilda May, as the lead space vampire (space vampire is accurate, although it sounds hokier than it is,) walking around largely in the buff for the better part of the movie. Watching London become overrun by a space vampire plague is one of the early "large scale" battles I can recall; and with the infected regaining their vitality with each kill, leading to distrust and the unknown of who can be trusted, Lifeforce feels like a (wonderful,) cross between The Thing and a large scale zombie film. One of the many great original 80s horror films that still seems fresh 35 years later, if not better than much of the PG13 drek that passes as horror nowadays.

This is an awesome looking steelbook to start. Movie is pretty good as well. B type film, but fun.

Great plot - sexy space vampires taking over humanity as a feeding ground— but in particular one gorgeous naked female- desperate to feed, yet leaves our protagonist alive. Did I mention that she is naked for virtually the entire movie? Yet somehow that is fitting, given the incredible atmosphere of foreboding this movie creates in the viewer. A stellar cast that defies logic- what were they thinking you might wonder? These actors were and are not B-Movie by any stretch. The psychology that is explored behind the alien plot is also rather intriguing. Couldn’t make this movie now and get it funded but the eighties ahhh- what a wonderful decade.

As a serious Sci-Fi fan for many decades I really like this 1985 film. it reminds me of Planet of the Vampires which is another favorite. For its time the special effects are very good and the storyboard and screen play bring surprise twists and turns throughout to the end. There is some nudity that some might not want to see but it did not detract from my enjoyment of the Sci-Fi classic.

One of Hooper's most misunderstood and greatest achievements. This disc does the wild colors and images justice. Highly recommend picking this up! Lifeforce has aged incredibly well.

Now tell me...who doesn't like Space Vampires???? Modern twist on the classic vampire mythology with great practical effects and fun storyline from one of my favorite horror directors, Tone Hooper. Scream Factory does a great job with this blu Ray and glad to finally have for my collection.

A race of space vampires arrive in London and infect the population. Intriguing science fiction/horror story line that is well executed with great special effects, stunning video, and a lively DTS HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack.

Wow They got it right. Vampires who suck your life force instead of yucky blood. What if? The picture quality was amazing Sound was amazing..... God I love this one.... A must have

During a mission to Hailey's comet, the crew comes across a spaceship, which contains the original vampires. What does it mean for Earth? This is true popcorn fun and we get to see an early Patrick Stewart.

They did a great job with the video transfer. Movie looks great and has good sound. If you are a fan of the movie it’s worth grabbing the blu-ray.

I first saw this movie on a show called USA Up All Night. I'm not going to lie at that age it was more about the nudity than the film itself. Now as the ears progress i enjoy it for the film as a hole. Is it the best horror movie in the world, no. It does have a great balance of Horror and Sci-Fi.
