I have always used Iphones until recently. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 for the bigger, clear screen and love it. I had been using a gel type case around it but my port tab busted off and they won't fix it for me so it's exposed to the elements (where you plug in your data cable). I needed protection so i bought this case. It said to make sure it's waterproof by doing a few steps, which i did and i actually forgot that this case had been submerged under water for twice as long as they recommended and i tell you what, it did NOT LEAK at all!! Very impressed with this case. Unfortunately, after about 4 days, i removed the case because i found that i can't HEAR when on a call even with phone turned up on high volume? Not sure why this is as i have perfect hearing. I would recommend this otherwise.

This will be my second lifeproof case for my s5. The first one served me well for over a year so when it came time to buy a new case, I knew lifeproof wouldn't fail me. This case offers me peace of mind, especially with a wild 2 year old. The one flaw is the headphone plug. It is not very secured to the actual case, so it has a tendency to completely detach itself, which it has done several time when I put it in my pocket. I haven't lost it yet, but would love to see lifeproof sell replacements since I know I'll lose it soon. Overall, great case, great protection, and not bulky.

The cell phone case is well made, it is waterproof, so the case seals very well. When I tried to remove it once I had a bit of difficulty getting off. However I have not had my phone near any water source to test it's waterproof ability. I am satisfied with the way it protects my phone even if its a little bulky. The only issue I have is that when I tried to plug head phones into my phone with the case on it, the plug would not go all the way in so I don't use them. I prefer to just having the phone protected from any damage.

When you buy an expensive phone you need to put it in a good case. Having just upgraded to a Galaxy S5, I needed a really good case to protect my new 'investment'. I work IT infrastructure and am on major construction jobs a lot where we use our phones to talk to each other while working on the job, plus texts and emails. Drywall dust, concrete dust, insolation dust and anything else you can come up with will ruin a phone in no time. A coworker has the same phone with an Otter case and his screen is ruined from all the stuff that has got inside the case. I didn't want to repeat his mistake so I spent the money and got this case. So far I haven't dropped my phone but I could make the mistake from a 10 or 12ft. ladder so hopefully the case will protect that way. Everything else protection wise is pretty good although my screen cover is already getting scratched after a little over one month. The downsides of this phone are the lower volume on the speakers for either phone calls or hearing your ring tone. I don't see this cover lasting more than 6 months for me but that is because of the environments I work in. Even though it is almost twice the price of the Otter I will probably buy this cover again. I just don't see any way else of getting this kind of protection other than a different job which isn't happening.

We have enjoyed the lifeproof phone case despite a couple issues. For some reason, the microphone doesn't work very well and you have to open the bottom in order for the party you are speaking to can hear you. Also, the case I'd very difficult to open if you need to clean inside or to get to the inside of the phone. We do like it because it is rough and tough for a 12 year old boy who keeps it in his pocket. I like the water resistance however, if you drop it even once, it is no longer considered water resistant. It all depends on what you need it for!

I've had the case for around a month now and it's already saved my phone several times. It does make the phone bulkier, but only by a little. I have had no problems with the headphone port coming out at all. It is slightly more difficult to hear and talk through, though. Overall, easily worth the price.

Overall I like the style of the case, and like the fact it doesn't cover the entire phone allowing you to see the phones style through the back. The case is thinner than the Otterboxes I have seen, but that may reduce the shock it can endure. The screen cover produces an oily pearlescent swirl that I can't seem to get rid of no matter what I clean it with. Buttons function great with the cover, and the screen is still responsive as though the cover isn't on it. The biggest downer of the case is that the person on the other end of the phone can not hear me very well, and there are known echo issues. So, I voided my warranty and removed all of the gaskets and plugs that I thought were causing the audio issues. It didn't help too much because the microphone is still somewhat cover by the housing. All in all, if you need something that its waterproof, I think this is just how it's going to be, and you may want to buy a bluetooth headset to talk over than through the case membrane. The case design is great and well thought out, but where it counts when you need to communicate to someone, on your PHONE...... it just doesn't work.

This is a good case for the most part. It is a little bulky but not bad. Quality is good and I feel that my phone is safe while in the case. My only major gripe is volume control. While the case is built to not let water in, it also won't let sound out very well. I am sure it is built for a happy medium but I would like a little more volume control. I have taken the phone out of the case and it is plenty loud on its own.

I've had 2 cases for the same phone. I've dropped it on concrete, asphalt, tile and hard wood. I'm a clutz and have even lost it in the toilet from my back pocket! I walk in the rain and this case has never let me down. Unfortunately they don't sell these cases for my new phone or I would have gotten the same case! Totally worth the investment.. absolutely no scratches or cracks in my old Galaxy phone. And no need for a separate screen protector. The only damage I've had to the case that would matter is the rubber piece that covered the aux "hole".. I wear earphones a lot and fidget with the rubber when anxious so it broke off both times understandably.

This case is awesome. Had an otterbox defender on my last phone that worked well enough but was bulky and only water resistant. The rubber insert was starting to stretch and the screen cover was thin plastic that was starting to show its age. This case fits snug and is made of thick hard plastic. Seems like a better design. Wish I'd bought lifeproof before now.

The protection on this case is great! I dropped it a few times with no worries. The only issue I have is with the speaker. There were times when it was hard for people to hear me.

This case is as expected. Wish it didn't make the phone so bulky and that the battery access cover was easier to open. With the phone being totally covered at times it is hard to hear.

This is a very nice, protective case. The only issue I have had is the audio. Occasionally, I can't hear someone or they can't hear me. Otherwise, it's a great case.

The case is great for protection but it makes it more difficult to talk to people. Also makes it hard to plug in the charger and the head phones

I loved my Lifeproof case...with one exception. The size was perfect. The form factor was perfect. The protection was perfect...but too much. Being a waterproof case, all of the holes that are normally there in any other case are covered. That's fine, but it impeded the ability to hear through the earpiece for me, so much so that I returned this case and got the Otterbox instead.

I have dropped my phone on concrete, and the case had held up. I've taken it to barn, around the horses, and it has stayed clean from dust. I have taken in the water and it has kept my phone dry. Only complaint is occasionally it makes it hard to hear someone on the phone and sometimes they have a hard time hearing me.

Going from an otter box to life proof case the many benefits were lighter waterproof,and so much easier to put on the phone. I've dropped my phone so many times already and the case is amazing. It's held up I would never go back to otter box after using the life proof case

case is incredibly hard to get on and off. I assume it would serve its purpose but if you ever like not having a case on the phone it is incredibly hard to get this thing off. Pretty expensive when there are some good alternatives like the tech 21, seeing as though the Samsung s5 is already "water" and "dust" resistant this case doesn't add a whole lot.

I love my lifeproof case. It has saved me from breaking my phone multiple times. My only complaint is how difficult it is to take it off. The directions aren't very clear and if you don't do it correctly you will break the case. Also the warranty on the case is void after you have removed the case a few times. Otherwise an all around great product.
