Customers highly value the FRĒ Series Carrying Case's excellent protection and water resistance, frequently praising its secure fit and ease of use. However, some users experienced issues with Face ID functionality and sound muffling, while others found the screen protector and price to be less satisfactory. The case's lightweight design was also a positive attribute for many.

Hi Luis,
We sorry your current LifeProof experience hasn't been without some struggles. The FRĒ case has been tested and confirmed to be compatible with standard Qi wireless technology, however, results can vary depending on what platform is being used. In addition, you'll want to make sure your charger and device are current on all firmware and operating system updates.
As for the other issue you've encountered, we do have some troubleshooting tips which should restore a seamless Face ID interaction.
Step 1: Open your case and remove your device.
Step 2: Lay the front of the case down on a flat hard surface with the screen protector surface facing down (the Silence Switch will be on your right).
Step 3: Centered near the top of the inside of the screen protector, you’ll see two small clear stickers. Using your fingernail, remove the sticker on the right (leave the left sticker in place).
Step 4: You may need to use some isopropol or rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip to remove glue residue left by the sticker you removed.
If you're still having trouble, we're here to help. https://www.lifeproof.com/en-us/contact-us

I've had countless LifeProof cases, but the last 3-4, some warranty replacements, just aren't what they use to be. Difficult for the person I'm talking to to hear me, especially on speaker. Probably my last because of this. Great protection and style, but people hearing you talk is a necessity.

Hi there!
We're sorry to hear that you were having some trouble with your FRĒ case! Sometimes if you don't have that case installed just right, it can lead to some audio issues like you're experiencing. When you're putting your phone into that case, we recommend sliding your phone in speaker-end first, as that will help with proper alignment of the speakers, microphones, and proximity sensors. If you decide you'd like to get your case replaced, feel free to call us at 1-888-533-0735, and we'd be more than happy to get you taken care of.

Depends if u like a full protection case. Has a built in screen protector so it doesn’t work well if the phone has a protector on as well. It does work with the mag charger but the connection isn’t as strong, but good enough. I like that it protects the iphone well as I have been using LIFEPROOF fre cases for years.

BEST CASE FOR WATERPROOF, SURVIVED A DAY IN OCEAN

BEST WATERPROOF CASE EVER. Lost my phone in the ocean on vacation, went diving for it the next day, found it 24 hours later at about 10-15 feet deep, and my phone was in perfect condition! Was unsure about spending this much on a case, but if you are going to be in or around water, this is the case for you!

Not bulky at all. I was afraid it'll make my phone thick but it doesn't at all. I do find it annoying that when the phone is flat the camera is not the same level so it moves if typing. It does though effect the voice dictation a bit. Very good protection for the phone.

Very strong case able to handle any drop or throw I’ve given to it. Charging port seems a bit flimsy and when putting on the case there’s a rubber surround that didn’t like to stay in place. Really wish otterbox still made their own cases with the screen protector built in still instead of just these

A good case for maximum protection with a built in screen and camera protector. The only issue I have had is that the plastic over the camera gets scratched over time. Luckily the warranty is decent and you can get a replacement for $10 within the first year.

I have had the life proof NEXT case first - a quality case (drop protection is great) but not waterproof - because the Fre wasn’t initially available when I got the 12 pro max. I’ve always used the Fre case for every phone since the 8 and love it. I mean my last iPhone (11) in the Fre case got run over by a F150 truck after falling out of my pocket onto the road when I was riding my bike and the only damage was a minor crack on the screen so I swear by the case. But I got scared after reading such bad reviews for the 12 pro max Fre case and ended up opting for the outbox defender. Also a good case but didn’t like the feel so exchanged for the Fre and it’s great. Take the dot in front of the camera off and Face ID has zero issues. You can’t even see the little dots people are talking about and there is zero issues with the touch screen. I EVEN added a privacy film tempered glass spell on top of the Fre screen cover (because I like the privacy film) and I have had no issues with touch response no issue with Face ID and the screen is perfectly visible. Passed the water seal test. People can hear me as well as the ever could with a case on (but I mean hello use earphones it’s 2021). Only thing I think could be better is the charging port cover. It works fine I’ve had no issues with it but it feels a little weak. Not a deal breaker though. Anyway I guess just make sure you check the case you purchase to make sure it’s a new case and not a return and you’ll be good.

The case itself it's very protective of the phone, but the plastic screen prevents from typing and swiping. The plastic screen protector creates an air bubble where it's lifted and you are unable to do what you need to do with ease.

Works well as far as keeping my phone dry while at the pool. Very hard to hear during phone conversations. Only use this case when I am going to be outside working on around water, otherwise I use my regular Otterbox.

I just got the case today and i noticed that there were a bunch of tiny dots covering the entire screen protector on the inside. I removed the two stickers covering the front camera but the other dots didn't seem to be stickers as well. I don't know if I just got a defect or if all fre cases had a bunch of tiny dots on the screen.

Hi there!
We're sorry to hear about any disappointment with your FRĒ case! Those dots are actually completely intentional, as they help to prevent and sort of rainbow effect under the screen protector. That being said, those should not be visible most of the time while actually using your device. If you run into any other issues with your case, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Customer Service Team here: https://www.lifeproof.com/en-us/contact-us

I have used a Life Proof Fre case on every iPhone that I have owned, this is the first one that is causing trouble.
I don’t know if it is the way that I was holding the phone when setting up the face recognition or if it is the design of the case. Since I put the case on the facial recognition has stopped working. I am also having trouble with getting my phone to unlock using the keypad since the installation. The keypad doesn’t want to appear. I use my phone to track my activity miles and if I want to pause the tracking something needs to work.
The second problem I have encountered is the “O” ring on the charge port has decided to start coming off. So far I have been able to find the ring however once I lose the ring the case will no longer be waterproof

Hi there,
We're so sorry this FRĒ case isn't checking off all your boxes this time around. The good news is we have some troubleshooting tips which should restore a seamless FaceID interaction.
As for your charger port door, that should definitely not be happening. We'd like to look into this further. Please feel free to contact us through our website under "How Can We Help You?" and select "General Questions."

I've been a fan of LifeProof fan since my first iPad about ten years ago. For work and play I am outdoors a lot engaged in activities that are high-risk for phones & tablets: water, dust and drops are part of my life. This LifeProof case is just what I need for my brand new phone.

Works extremely well. I’ve dropped my phone a few times in this case. I spilled soda on it when I went to TopGolf my phone didn’t even get wet from it. Naturally the only thing that sucks was the price.
