The phone has dropped a couple of times and the case has protected the phone.

Good Protection but....

There are a few downsides to it though. The screen cover reduces the clarity of the retina display, and the mute switch sometimes does not work. These are pretty small prices to pay to take your iPhone almost anywhere.
