Waste of Money

The intent was to take pictures/videos while snorkeling. Shortly after submerged, the case would start filling with water. I made sure it was sealed, repositioned the little rubber piece, and retried it multiple times. Every time it would leak. A $10 plastic sack on a necklace from Amazon worked better than this $80 life proof case. I would love a refund, but it’s probably too late now. Aside from it not being waterproof, it sucks to use outside of the water. The plastic covering on the screen makes it annoying to type. I recommend searching elsewhere for a case.

Step in the wrong direction

I have owned every version going back to the beginning of the series and am disappointed with many aspects. Most importantly is the fact that it does not work with wireless charging, neither the older QI, which has worked with previous versions, or MagSafe which was purchased for use with this new iPhone and case combination. If you do a quick search thru their own website feedback you we see this is a widespread issue, and LifeProof continues to state that it will work. Long time customer, who may have just purchased his last Lifeproof product.

We're bummed to hear that you're having troubles using FaceID in your FRĒ case! We are happy to walk you through some steps to modify your case that should resolve this issue.
Step 1: Open your case and remove your device.
Step 2: Lay the front of the case down on a flat hard surface with the screen protector surface facing down (the Silence Switch will be on your right).
Step 3: Centered near the top of the inside of the screen protector, you’ll see two small clear stickers. Using your fingernail, remove the sticker on the right (leave the left sticker in place).
Step 4: You may need to use some isopropol or rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip to remove glue residue left by the sticker you removed.

Not ready for prime time. Rushed to market

I think they have made some changes now, but the product that I received the FaceId would not work unless you pulled off a piece inside the case. The MagSafe charger would not stay connected they the back of the case. The waterproof seal was way over stretched. If you do buy one make sure there is only 1 plastic dot to the front of the selfie cam. Lifeproof used to be my go to case but it looks like I will be looking for another
