Used it once and the water seeped in when the case started to warp during a beach trip. Luckily I noticed the water, removed the case, and let my phone dry. The touchscreen is difficult to manage with the case on. There's a small gap between the screen protector and the phone, which makes the phone click things accidentally. I would not buy this again. I'd rather get a small waterproof camera.

Terrible Design

Buyer beware it cracks over the camera on the back. I am on my 3rd case in one year. The good thing is, Lifeproof has an amazing warranty. However, I don’t feel that one should have to have a case replaced 3x in one year. I’m very gentle with my phone too so I don’t have an explanation as to why it’s doing this.

Good protection bad design

Buttons are very stiff, I get recycled ocean plastic but there’s got to be some rubber down there to make the button covers out of.

As for your mute dial, when you're installing your LifeProof, we'd recommend first installing the front of the case, being sure to twist the mute dial a few times to ensure the mute switch is properly seated.

We're sorry to hear you're having problems using the touchscreen on the FRĒ case. Sometimes air can get trapped in the LifeProof during installation, which can cause this. We suggest opening the port door at the bottom of the case then push the front of the LifeProof against your chest or thigh with the palm of your hand on the back. This will squeeze out the extra air and you should have a smoother experience going forward. If you need more assistance, please call us at 1-888-533-0735.

Doing some digging, I found you can “scratch off” the two little plastic dots and clean the area where they were. Facial recognition works flawlessly since then. I find this case to be a big improvement in call clarity on both ends from my iPhone XS life proof fre case. I highly recommend it.

If you follow the installation instructions (insert bottom of the phone into the case first) the phone fits perfectly and all cameras / sensors line up just right.

I didn’t have any issues at all with the facial rec. feature. Using gorilla glass with this case, makes the case not seat properly. No audio issues with phone calls If your looking for a colorful case, this ain’t it. It’s just plan ol protection.
