Phones (can be used with any phone, huge plus) stick off a little bit, but holds securely when locked. The locking plate that you stick to your phone needs care such that it doesn't scratch things or tear a pocket. It works with my iOttie car vent mount, too. That is an unexpected bonus.

For running and biking I am surprised how strong of a hold it has while still being able to get to it quickly.
