I bought the case because it's waterproof. I've Always liked the ability to directly touch the screen on my tablet. This fits the bill. I got the snap on screen protector as well to protect the screen as I put it in and out of my bag. Though expensive, save some money in the long run and buy this one. Otherwise, you will end up purchasing 1 or 2 different brands and eventually purchasing this one anyway wishing you hadn't spent the money on the other covers. Buy once, so buy the best and it will last the longest. It's cheaper in the long run.

The Lifeproof Nuud cases are hands down the best Of the Lifeproof line. Clean lines and no annoying film that gets scratched and moves. Very happy with my purchase and am sure you will too. The only cons are: 1. The back cover gets scratched easily, but this does not affect operation. 2. The front screen is prone to damage from keys without the protective screen. Just install a screen protector and your good to go. It's not necessary but is added assurance.

I love the Lifeproof NUUD case I purchased for my iPad, and have no complaints whatsoever. It's tough and durable, yet has a sleek design that doesn't add the bulky size/feel of other ipad cases. I'm a very satisfied customer.

I don't expect to go swimming or diving with this or anything like that. Basically just looking for solid all around protection against drops and accidental water issues and so forth. This case has great form factor - much improved over previous version (I've had one for mini and one for ipad1) - this latest has much less bulk. Generally I hate cases because I love the feel of no case - but just can't risk it. Given the level of protection this seems very acceptable additional bulk and still looks cool. The one we had on an ipad1 was put to the test, dropped significantly and often and is impressively still holding up very well so if that's any indication this should be great. I saw other reviews about finger print reader as well as sound. I find both are perfectly acceptable. Finger print reader worked right away without issue and haven't added any additional fingers after putting the case on so 0 complaints. Sound is only minimally muffled but for my purposes works just fine. Bottom line - haven't it put it through the ringer, but so far loving the form factor and feel confident things are well protected.

This is the second LifeProof case I have purchased. If there was another choice I would give it a try. On the good side both cases have been waterproof this is the primary reason I purchased the case. The iPad 2 case had a screen cover which doubled as a stand, this version does not have that feature. They are expensive and have limited protection for drops and the screens are fully exposed. My first case for an iPad 2 had a warranty issue, after much back and forth nothing was resolved. The case for the iPad Air 2 appears to be a better design. Hope it is.

I am in LOVE with my life proof what’s not to love it made my iPad waterproof lol. It protects it in all ways. I recommend for people to jump on lifeproof ASAP! You will not be disappointed. It is bulky but doesn’t matter as long as it does it’s job and it does.

With the provided tool, opening the two piece case is easy. Not so much without it. Waterproof case proven in bathtub full of hot water. Just make sure the silicon seal are pressed flat against the iPad screen when closing the case. I rushed closure of the case on the iPad, the silicon tends to "roll up" or bunch up unevenly. Dropped the case several times and the rubber corner bumpers that's supposed to absorb the shock have developed cracks where it fell. Headphone adapter is difficult to disconnect after attaching and I do this atleast 5 times a day. Keep a close eye on the yellow seal around the headphone jack. It tends to roll off each time you disconnect. Mine eventually fell off. I don't know if it can be replaced. After having the iPad in the case for a while now I've noticed a significant reduction In Sound volume and quality. But since a Bluetooth speaker is often used with this tablet that issue is negligible.

I really like this case. The fact that the screen is not covered is the only reason it is not 5 star. I trust lifeproof's superior protection of my iPhone and iPad. Definitely would recommend.

This is a fantastic case! I have multiple ones. This was for my wife's new iPad Air 2. If you are going to spend a lot of money on a tablet, don't skimp on the case. While the color option is black only, it is really mostly a border and the front and back are clear. Don't worry about it. I also recommend a ZAGG glass cover for the screen as this does not have a screen protector. Both this case, and the ZAGG, offer life time warranty and I have invoked them previously on other platforms and both customer service departments are outstanding. Best Buy can rest assured that LifeProof (and ZAGG) are great manufacturers to sell to their customers.

I have been using an Otterbox Defender Case for my iPad Air 2 and the biggest complaints I have with that case is that it is very bulky and on the heavier side. When I saw that I had a chance to review this case, I was thrilled. The life proof case is almost half as thick as the Otterbox one (when you include the stand) and only has two parts whereas the Otterbox has four parts. It is definitely lighter and you still have access to all of the ports and cameras. This case comes with a headphone adapter and a screen cleaning cloth. There are also instructions for testing the waterproof feature. Basically you insert the blue plastic piece (that functions as your iPad) into the case without the iPad in it, submerge it for 30 minutes and check to see if there is water on the inside. When I did this test, the inside was bone dry. The only drawback I can see is that this case allows you to use your screen without a protective film or anything on it. I worry that my screen will get scratched or damaged somehow and while it is a nice feature, I'll still probably purchase a screen protector film for it. Otherwise this case is definitely a step up from the Otterbox Defender.

Honestly the only case I trust is Lifeproof. I have been using them for my phone for years now and they keep all the contaminates out from the IPad and I have dropped it a few times and it still hasn't damaged it. My only wish is that they would have included a screen protector in with the case as they do with the Nuud cases for the IPhone, but I guess I will have to purchase one separately.

Works great for protecting my iPad. I use a glass screen protector then the nüûd cover over that and I get total protection and it still feels like a tablet without a screen protector. Wish it had a kickstand though!

This case was everything I was looking for! Great protection from drops and liquid. Very lightweight, and does not make iPad bulky which is precisely what I was looking for! Highly recommend for anyone wanting all around protection,plus keeping the slim size of the iPad!
