    I had bought and returned 2 LIFX A19 bulbs, but this BR-30 is a keeper. It did not fail or overheated. I gave it a five star since this particular bulb actually performed to its best. However, I will not buy another LIFX because it’s like a treasure hunt to find one that’s not overheating. Maybe it’s not overheating, it just way too hot to touch in comparison to the one I kept.

    The app doesn't have the option to set a timer! You have to buy a whole other system. That's the whole reason that I bought it and the salesman told me it had that capability. I love that I can turn it off with my phone, but wish that the app had a timer! The control you have over the color and brightness of the lighting is quite cool though.

    When we bought our new home we purchased some of these to control the lighting in our big kitchen! They were really neat but they always end up malfunctioning! Pretty sure we have taken all 6-8 of them back twice until we switched over to Phillips Hue . So far no problems!
