    tried many time and never could get the product to complete the connection. Even separated5.0 and 2.4 to try to get a connection. Contacted the lifx web site and was rudely answered and told to check exactly everything i had just done. would not recommend.

    I initially was going to go the Phillips Hue route because they were cheaper, but I wasn't really sold on using their bridge in addition to the lights. That's when I decided to go with LIFX. No additional hardware needed. They just connect via WIFI and have Google Home integration. They work perfectly. The app is pretty good and easy to use as well.

    After trying Llumi and it not working, I thought maybe this brand would be better, especially if HomeKit compatible. Nope! Not as bad but still won’t work seamlessly. Took literally 20 tries to initially set up and pair, thought I was in good shape afterward, but no, still issues. Then reading the support site, there are all these criteria: WiFi band, channel, etc. and most surprising, no metal around it! This is a bulb which is almost always located in a “hi-hat” ceiling location. Hmmm, what are hi-hat ceiling enclosures ALWAYS made of? Yep, you guessed it, metal! So I’m trying to figure out why a company designs something knowing it won’t work in its most common application??? Anyway... good luck if you give it a shot.

    Works good but must be within wireless range, I located it outside and could nof change light colors from inside the house, but worked good when I was outside with my phone.
