After several frustrating attempts we finally have up and returned the bulb. Needed WiFi to set it up, verrrry quirky

If the light switch is flipped to the off position the light disconnects from Wi-Fi and you have completely reconnect each light individually again.

BEWARE you have to save all packaging and printouts since these geniuses didn't print the home code on the bulbs. I had the installed and made the mistake of upgrading the firmware. It wiped out my HomeKit and Alexa integration. I didn't save the packaging so there is no way to recover the code to reconnect. The new app is junk. Save yourself the headache and stick with Hue.

You get these bulbs to sink to system and then they drop signal. They are great when they work that's when they work.

I have about 20 of the Philips HUE lights, and I tried to save a few bucks and try these out, but it was a waste of money. Everything about them us worse than the HUE lights, most notably the connection strength. Highly suggest you spend the extra money and get the HUE lights - they are priced higher for a reason.

I have several Philips Hue light bulbs already but decided to try this as an alternative cheaper priced option. I immediately returned these lights. The colors were way off when used with SIRI. I would say turn the lights orange and they would go pink. Yellow looked green and so on. I never had any color issues with the Philips and SIRI so I will stick with Philips instead.

I like the easy of set up. It took me 5 minutes to set it up

I would never buy this item again. Had problems with it since I purchased it for my daughter.

The light is difficult to sync to the internet and even more difficult to sync with Amazon Alexa.

Won’t buy again keep losing WiFi connection so I had to return

This is the worst experience I have had with a smart bulb ever. I have had it for about a month, and sometimes it'd turn it's self back on which was no big deal at first. One day I came home and it was on and I tried turning it off, but it wouldn't. It had disconnected from my wifi, same router, same internet provider and no other changes to the environment. I had to factory reset it more than 10 times just to get it to reconnect, after it reconnected it still wouldn't turn off unless I manually turned the entire lamp off. If I would switch colors it would slightly alter the color (like a gradient of white and whatever color I had), anytime I would dim it the light would still stay on. I have tried and tried but nothing is working, whatever you do steer away from this brand, it's a waste of money for a cheap bulb that only worked for a month.

Was looking for BR30 smart bulb for outdoor use in my exposed driveway floods for my first foray into the world of smart lighting. Could not believe that this should be so difficult to find! Lifx to the rescue with extra bonus of not needing a hub. Installation with app was a little dicey--had to do it 3 times before both bulbs stuck--and for the first several weeks, at least one bulb went offline for some period of every day, frequently leaving the lights either on when they were supposed to shut off or off when they were supposed to turn on. Downside is that when they come back online, they don't recognize what they should be doing and adjust themselves With updates to both app and firmware, the offline episodes are much less frequent. Overall, I love everything else about the bulbs, especially the ability to adjust over the white spectrum.

I would highly recommend this bulb. It has such a wide array of colors for every mood and the ability to use the app on my iPhone and Apple Watch is the best. Only warning is if there is a power outage the bulb does a power cycle on its own and then stays on, so if you are not home you may come home to find that the light is on.

IMO better than Hue. This LIFX is the best in the market. Superior color spectrum and 1100 lumens. No hub needed.

All 4 Bulbs became defective within 3 years, all unable to priduce any shade of white light, only colors. Customer support and troubleahooting can only be done via email, wareanty only is for 2 years, coincidentally.
