I love these lights. I have 7 bulbs. I placed these on my stairs until I could find a permanent place, but I like them there. Like being at club. LOL. You can paint the individual colors. so you have multiple colors on your strip. LIFX just came out with an APPLE Homekit attachment that I believe will be available in December.

Great product! It took awhile to get up and running but once it connects, mind blowing! I also love the app on the phone... Just not as responsive as I would like but minor issue!

This is a super cool product and everyone is amazed by it when they see photos or come over in person. I'd give it 4.5 if I could. My only issue is the adhesive isn't sticky enough. I ended up using guerilla tape to keep it stuck to the back of my television. I also sync it with my other lifx lights and music. Super cool! Also with an Amazon echo you can change colors and turn it on/off with your voice. Set up is super easy.

The Good: The lights are gorgeous. They are wonderful for adding ambiance to any room. I used them as recessed lighting above my cupboards in my kitchen. I've also attached them behind my headboard for some very romantic lighting. They make nice scheduled nightlights, and waking lights. The Bad The application needs serious work. Recently it's been using up large amounts of data on my phone. Today my relatively new phone was down to 20% battery within 6 hours. 40% of that excessive usages was from the Lifx application. One of my two strips loses connection far too often. I have to climb up on my counter to unplug the strip, in order to get it to connect again. This is a pretty big problem. Lastly, the strips disconnect far too easily from the power cord. A cat walking behind a dresser can easily detach the strip. If Lifx can resolve the first two issues, I'd gladly recommend the strips. Until then, I can't recommend them. I wish there was a maybe option.

These lights are amazing I have 27 lights in my home and I have 3 of these strips I occasionally have an issue where the lights disconnect and I have to powercycle them to get them to work. This is embarassing when you are trying to show off your home automation system.

My 15 year old son purchased this super cool LED light strip. It took a little while to sync them with the internet but now they work fine. He likes the way he can change the brightness, colors and patterns of the lights. Very cool item.

Great lights, very bright and lots of color options. Easy to control from your phone/tablet or a home device. Mine is synced to an echo. The one reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it can be hard to connect/stay connected to the wifi. Hopefully they will improve with app updates.

Love these lights. The brightest I could find on the market and well worth it. Easy to set up, options for color are good, great lights all around. Only wish if they lose connection with wifi they would ping to reconnect instead of having to manually do it. Not a huge issue though.

These lights are very bright and colorful. But, there is no way to connect the sections except to each other directly. I wanted to border the back of my television, but I can;t because there is no way to change direction without making a loop on the corner.

The lights, app, and simplicity to install and connect are great. I have 4 additional LIFX bulbs and love them. The but, like most other reviews state the adhesive sucks! In addition, please offer or include 90 degree angle pieces.

Although a bit of a struggle to setup initially, once I was able to connect the lights to our WiFi network and HomeKit the lights have worked great. It’s fun to use the built in themes to light a room for holidays or just your mood. The strip lights are great above crown molding in our theater where I can change the colors and dim with my phone.

Despite the many negatives I found I love the Lifx Z. I purchased this for bias lighting around my tv as I have 2 Lifx bulbs in my living room also and wanted 1 ecosystem for all. Paired flawlessly, grouped with other lights, Amazon Echo controls work great. 4 stars instead of 5 (which I badly want to give) is due to the 2 main negatives you'll find - 1) adhesive backing isn't great as it fell a few times before I purchased aftermarket stickies to make sure it stayed...2) strips do not make 90 degree turns so install takes a little work as you need to leave the edge where it turns not pressed down. Other than those 2 things, love all my Lifx products and plan on adding to my few soon.

I researched between these and several other brands and finally decided on the LIFX ones. Easy to control, works with Alexa.

Awesome way to illuminate different colors from your phone. App could use some bug fixes but overall happy with the lights.

This was my first attempt to get in to this new home color lighting thing So I thought I would save some money by not getting the Philips Hue product and I got this instead. Upon opening the box and removing the product part of the backing which is 2 sided sticky tape, was already coming off. During the initial install when connecting it to the home network it would not recognize my network, then when it did it errored during connecting and wouldn't do anything until I googled how to factory reset it. The 2nd attempt to connect to my wireless network worked. I attempted to stick this to the wall behind my tv and within an hour the tape had failed and it fell off the wall. I then tried taping it to the tv stand and it fell off within another 20mins. It is next to impossible to get the different zones the colors you want. I returned it the next day and I'm pretty sure it wasn't even in my possession a full 24hrs. Unless you plan on laying this thing flat or using different tape than what is supplied, avoid it. Pros: plenty of length, comes in 3 separate strips that attach-detach. Bright enough to light a house Cons: Tape supplied on backing is worthless. Almost too bright, nearly impossible to adjust colors to liking

I have used Philips hue before but the only thing I never liked was the bulky light strip and it couldn't be controlled by zones. Lifx Z is very flexible and is easy to use. No need to cut the light strip if you need less than 2m becuase it comes in 1m lengths. Amazing product overall. I will be buying more!

Very nice LED's, color great. Only problem is the stick-on tape won't stay glued to the back of my TV keeps falling off. I have a Samsung, with a shinny back.

Ive installed this in my kitchen and all over my home. I have not had any problems.

These LED strip lights are amazing. Super bright and each light is led is addressable, meaning you can have the strip display multiple colors at once. (My kids favorite it making it look like a rainbow). The setup is easy and the LIFX app is great.

I purchased these lights to add to my collection of other Lifx lights. I installed the Lifx Z along the boarder of the back of my tv. These are so great I plan on buying many more to go behind my other tv's and under my cabinets, and anywhere else.
