As the subtitle of this game suggests, it is literally just a Yakuza game with pirates in Hawaii. If you're already a fan, then you will know what to expect. You're likely going to love it. If you're a new fan, then just know that the game does spoil a major plot point of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth in like the first few hours. Still interested? There's a demo out for this game. Go and try that first before buying.

It's a Yakuza game, so you can expect a cheesyness extravaganza. It reuses a lot of stuff previously exclusive to Infinite Wealth, like Snap and Links, but that's the whole point: Having Majima do all that stuff and how he does it.

This is the first game I played in the series and now I want to play all of them as soon as possible. I had a really great time from begining to end. I highly recommend this game!!!

If you played previous Yakuza titles then this is for your. Previous titles try to take themselves to seriously, however this is fun that makes fun of its self.

Great revival for a beat em up! Keep the spirit of the old games, the story has a bit of loony tunes to it, but it makes it fun to play around with. Has a well developed open world, simple controls for fun combat, and doesnt take itself too seriously. If youre looking for an entertaining game that is easy to pick up and put down, this one would be it.

I’m not a big Yakuza game fan but after playing the demo of this I picked it up. I’ve been having a blast. It is simply entertaining. It feels like it’s made by gamers for gamers and is well optimized on the PS5. Overall, 5 out of 5 for a FUN game. Ignore the one stars for Best Buy preorder issues they do not reflect the game. For the person giving it two stars, why didnt you change the language in the settings or did you only play the demo which was Japanese with English subtitles?

this is an excellent addition to the Like a Dragon franchise. finally a game starring JUST Majima, the mad dog of Shimano. the core combat system is absolutely fantastic. the combat is a return to real time action combat. the ship to ship battles are a lot of fun. the main story is pretty straight forward and doesn't have too many twists, but it does explain a few things that weren't answered in Like a Dragon 8: Infinite Wealth. overall, i absolutely recommend this game.
