The goose neck is better than on other inexpensive lamps, keeping it from being just cheapo. The hood is a bit small for LED or large wattage bulbs. Mine is old enough that the switch is getting a bit cranky after a lot of use. Overall, a good lamp.

Only reason for the 4 stars is because it arrived broken so the lamp is loose on mine.

It's really powerful, please use the correct (watts). This is a (40 watts_max) lamp only. As extra insurance get a surge protection outlet to prevent from burning out bulbs quickly.

Nothing fancy but the organizer is helpful to keep things handy which is especially helpful if you don't have a lot of drawers and the charging outlet is very convenient. Just as advertised. (a little noisy on/off button but I don't care)

I needed a manual switch (off/on) for use with remote plug. We leave the lamp in the "on" position and use Alexa to turn on/off via voice command. A nice edition is the outlet built into the base of the lamp that can be used to charge a device. :)
