ethernet switch/splitter

It will "split" ethernet incoming into 4 outgoing similar to a cable splitter. The ports are "smart" such that the switch determines which lead is incoming and which are outgoing for you. No problems so far.

Not being technical, I didn't realize the signal strength should be increased if you have an upstairs...enter the range extender. My kids love it. Signal strength is the same throughout the house and no more instances of, "I was in the middle of an online game and the signal cut out!"

Good 100 Mbps switch

I may not even bother fixing the bad port, since this provided me with additional ports and the internal network never performs much higher than 100 Mbps. I'd buy this again.

Good for what it does

We purchased this to place inside a large conference room table to add LAN drops around the table through Mockett grommets. I only had enough room in the core hole to feed one Cat 6 through the floor and I had 5 drops that I needed to feed. This item did the trick! The best feature... it was inexpensive!
