Router set up went as it was explained in the quick setup guide. Some things were missing like how to hide the ssid but it was fixed in an update. Would like the ability to have the older interface for advanced users vs the newer one which seems flashier but not as professional in my opinion. Some of the 5ghz channels seem to have half the wifi power compared to others, still looking into that to see what is going on there. Connected components sometimes show offline but are connected. But overall it seems fast and the 2.5ghz connections are not dropping at all. Easily able to access the router remotely to check connections or change/add routes.

Upgraded to this router from the Linksys E3000...and it blows it away. Doubles my speed and range. We have the 100mbps down with Comcast and were only seeing about 16mb down on wifi. Now, we are seeing 50mb down (from across the house) ~ 2100sqft.

The router is a little on the expensive side but is providing excellent coverage in a multilevel home. Router is in the basement and provides strong signal throughout the house. It is fast and was easy to set up.

I purchased this to replace an old dlink router. This one is much faster, and true dual channel and was very easy to set up. It also has a guest account set up so when family come over, they can log in to that. No issues with dropped signals or slowing down. We have about 8 or 9 devices connected wirelessly.

Bought this to replace an old router that kept crapping out and required multiple reboots. Easy to install, works great, and extended my coverage. Can get wifi from anywhere in my house and yard now. Whereas ym yard used to be a dead zone. Seems a bit faster connection than I used to have.

Had to purchase this router as my last Linksys older model stopped working. This Router is awesome, fast speed for all devices connected and really wide range of great signal connection since it has antennas you can adjust. Really easy to setup and works great, have had no issues with it.

I'm only going to say this: I don't think the product is bad, but Linksys customer service, which is located in some third world country is frigging miserable. I still had 6 months left on a one year warranty, but was told it would be at least 7-10 business days for me to get the replacement and that included me giving my credit card number to customer service to place a temporary hold on the cost until I sent the old one back in.
Of course, when you're running a fully automated house, 7 days without your router and subsequently your entire network is unacceptable.
I upgraded to a better router and paid for the extended warranty through Best Buy this time because they will just pull one off the shelf and not make you jump through hoops. It's a shame you need to pay $30 more just to be assured good customer service.

The unit if very quite and fast. The setup was easy the app is clean. The only thing is that it needs better parent controls for web filtering and time limit controls. This is a very simple router and would be good for an adult home.

I wanted a good high-speed router for my home (strictly personal use) and after reading reviews went with this router. I can't speak for some of it's more in-depth features, but so far I am very happy. No problems connecting and has a great range. Best value in my opinion.

Our Comcast modem router had dismal signal strength, speed, and coverage, and caused a lot of issues with some of our newer Window 8 devices. This new router solved all these problems. Excellent speed thru out house, upstairs and downstairs, on all devices. Very easy to set up.

I was replacing an older wireless router that was losing connection when Netflix or Amazon Prime was playing on the TV and wanted an AC wireless for a new TV. It does all that and appears to have a greater range. It was very easy to set up and has not failed once.

The coverage from my older Linksys E2500 wireless router was lacking in our new house.

I bought this router based upon the recommendation of a Geek Squad agent. This unit has great range and covers my 6,000 sq ft house from end to end without the need for an independent extender. Very happy with unit and Best Buy price matched this unit.

Great Improvement over EA6500

After dealing with tons of issues on the EA6500 I decided to go with the best from lynksys and see if I get better luck. I have tons of network devices at home which is part of a huge automation system. A reliable and strong network was a must in my case. The AC1790 is a big improvement from range and speed. Pair this with a DOCsis3.0 modem and you wont be disappoint. I get up to 40-50mbp downloads and 11-20mbp uploads on any device over wifi. I have alot of tablets, smarth phones and laptops on wifi and still keep a great speed. So far the router has yet to disappoint me other than a high price.
