We have thick plaster walls and it would have had to have penetrated at least three of them to get to the router (which cannot be moved). Two experts worked on it also and said the walls were the problem, not this product. When we moved it to an adjoining room from the router, it worked fine, but this is not where we needed it.

Fairly powerful but don't expect to see the full range unless it's clear line-of-sight. Setup program does have a "meter" which gives a good idea of max distance to/from connections.

It is possibly due to some interference that is why your devices keep on reconnecting to the network. Make sure that the range extender has a stable connection to the router and you can take advantage of the Spot Finder feature on the setup process to know the recommended location for the extender.
