    Fast little router, easy setup

Great little router for $99. My old Netgear N750 just didn't have the throughput so upgrading to the Linksys AC1200 was a good choice. Setup is very straightforward and explained fully via schematics (or included CD if more details were needed). I only encountered one glitch: Using my existing CAT5 cable from the previous router did not work. The AC1200 refused to see the cable modem or Internet at all. Not sure if it's a crossover cable or not but simply using the cable that comes with the AC1200 fixed the problem. Probably should've done that in the first place. Very nice is also the option to control the settings via smartphone which allows for remote troubleshooting if away from home. Great box, good speed and has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, each ones working very well.

I just finally upgraded my internet service to a 50 Mbps download. I am very happy with the dual band, allowing for our movie streaming to be on the one band and our phones and tablets in the other band. I have not seen any slow down at all. Allows me to get all of my 50 Mbps that I pay for.

I have multiple devices that require wifi, and this router seems to do the trick for those devices to connect. Haven't had an issue with it when I purchased it over a month ago. All my devices (6 total) have been in range on all 3 floors of my condo as it's based on the first floor. Highly recommended if you need the juice to power more than 4 devices in a household or have a large house

The customization available for this router as well as the phone app is amazing. I don't have any issues with poor signal strength and i can troubleshoot problems and assign prioritization from anywhere on my phone or on my laptop. It's probably one of the best router purchases I've made. I would highly recommend this router to anyone. Easy to use for beginners, and has a bunch of advanced options for more seasoned network admins.

Having purchased a Belkin router which wouldn't work with my printers and total lack of customer support from Belkin, I bought this router with reservations. However it turned out to be an easy install and everything works great. It handles a UHD TV, Dish Hopper and Joey, 2 PC and 2 Apple laptops, 2 PC desktops and a Mac Mini, plus 3 printers. No issues with it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking at upgrading.

With a new cloud based external hard drive I was spending a lot of time waiting for transfers. Also with a kid who likes Netflix and my wife and I, who like online gaming and streaming media, we were running into router hiccups. This Router has solved all of that and helped us get the speed we pay for from our ISP. For a family apartment it is all you need to be very connected while still not going overboard in price.

    Great router linksys WRT 1200ac

Note:I received this router free from Linksys for review purposes. There were no restrictions imposed by Linksys on the content of this review. The Linksys WRT 1200ac offers a reliable Wi-Fi for small size house. It comes with a Dual core 1.3 Ghz CPU, 128Mb Flash, and 256MB DDR3 RAM. This router offers great signal for most of your devices iPad, iPhone, Laptops, desktops, and gaming consoles. It has a USB 3.0 port on the back which allows you to add your 3.0 USB external hard drive making this router act like a NAS storage device. Other features included in this router are network map, connectivity troubleshooting, open source, and guest access. The phone app allows you to access the routers setting and change them as you please locally or remotely. This router is stack-able meaning you can put it in top of another 1200ac WRT model or the 1900ac WRT or the Linksys switch shown in my pictures. I would not recommend this router for a two story house since signal is not the greatest in this model. However, I do recommend it for people in a one story house or one story apartment. One thing that I really want Linksys to change is the Marvell chip to a Broadcom chip as other routers perform better in my testing. The app from Linksys needs to be improved as well to show CPU and RAM usage, live bandwidth usage. This router is wall mountable as well. In conclusion, this router feels really sturdy does not feel like it was made from cheap material like other routers has a decent reliable Wi-Fi and offers decent features.

    The Max-Stream AC5400 MU-MIMO Gigibit Router

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This router is impressive right out of the box:it's solidly built and has a futuristic look about it. There are eight antennas along it's sides, eight gigabit ports and two usb ports on the back. There's plenty of room for wired connections.I used one usb port for my FTP connection. Personally, I don't use a lot of wired devices so I rely on the raw power of the MU-MIMO wireless speed and connectability for most of my devices. I have a desktop, three laptops, two ipads, a chromebook, a smart TV, two printers and two cell phones all sharing my network. The tri-band feature supplies all the power and more to guarantee a fast smooth connection for every device. Linksys gave me this router to set up and use in exchange for an honest opinion of this remarkable router. Well, the setup was easy and fast as usual with the new Linksys products. There are LED's on top to show the current state of the router as it begins to connect to the modem The WPS makes connecting your network devices quick and simple. Also the range of this router is awesome. I can walk 60+ feet from my house to the mailbox and beyond without being disconnected and my back yard is 45+ feet into my neighbors yard with the same results. The price of this Max-Stream AC 5400 doesn't come cheap but if you want a top performer with plenty of power to add to and grow your network, this is the one. In fact, I don't think I'll need a new router for a long long time.

This Router from Linksys is phenomenal. The amount of features you recieve within this gives you remarkable control and the ability to control restrictions is a plus. The coverage is phenomenal as well! Obviously each person's signal strength will differ due to the surroundings you place the router by. Do your homework on how wifi signals work and youll come out better in the end.

This router replaced a six year old Linksys router that had outlived its usefulness. The difference in speed is like going from a pedal car to a V-8. Set up was simple, up and running in about 10 minutes and upgrades were automatic. Wireless devices are discovered and connected with no problems.

No problems with this router. I get great coverage with this device in all rooms of the house and even out by the detached garage. Was also easy to set up. Only surprise to me was price; hadn't bought a router for a while and didn't realize they had all gotten so expensive. Didn't expect a decent router to be more than $100. Guess i'm getting old...sigh.

Trying to figure out what the right router is for your house is probably impossible. So, I bought this one since it was blue and had two antennas. It was easy to set-up and get working. It works just fine. My son (his room is fairest from the router) can play his games online without any lag.

I have been pretty loyal to the Linksys brand over the years. It was time to replace my existing wireless router and this was a good option. I still have some connection difficulty in areas of my house, but I feel this is consistent. It was very easy to setup and get up and running. I do like the iPhone app which makes it easy to change and adjust settings with ease.
