Great range and speed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having connectivity issues with my old router before I brought this in, and now I have a super nice and steady signal. I use it as a bridge in conjunction with the main Linksys Router that serves the basement. I have full coverage in the house, and the 5GHz network is blazing fast.

Great machine for anything you can throw at it
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router has been SOLID. It has worked as a powerhouse, servicing as many as 30 devices at once. There are times when 5 people (kids, adults) are on laptops doing Zoom calls for work/school, and some of us are multitasking on cell phones, while YouTube is playing on the TV in the background, and this router handles it like a BOSS. I have zero bad things to say about it.... if I had to come up with something, it would be that it's functions go beyond my understanding - it can be used as a router or you could engineer it to strengthen a signal for a different pre-existing router (bridge mode i think its called?)... the point being, if you are considering this device, you are wise.

So Far, So Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Range and speed seem to be good. Definitely better than the Netgear N750 it replaced. I have had one instance over the few weeks of using this wireless router that it stopped working and needed to be reset. And, my WiFi security cameras kept losing connection on the 5G band. But, since switching them to the 2.4 band and setting them as "priority" the connection has been consistent. Satisfied overall so far.

Just right
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have always use Linksys brands, needed to upgrade my router after upgrading my television to a 4K smart TV. Has multiple bands to support online gaming, streaming multiple devices, and has great coverage. Don’t go spend over 200+ dollars for a product similar to this, you’ll be wasting your money. Works perfect!

Great coverage for 2 story home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a previous Linksys router it was the platter style with no antennae attached. This new model has excellent coverage of the entire house. The router is centrally located and I have not had any issues with it and really pleased with the speed and performance. Have 5 total people in the house and wifi usage ranges from streaming Netflix to typically internet search/browse and have not had any issues.

Decent, but one significant (fixable) issue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first connected and set up this router, I was extremely disappointed at the throughput. I have gigabit internet, but initial speed tests showed only around 400 Mbps for both upload and download. Luckily, I am fairly savvy about networking, and I was able to determine the QOS (quality of service) function was the likely culprit. After disabling QOS, my speed increased to a more typical 815 Mbps for download, and 950 Mbps for upload. The web-interface for this router is definitely geared toward non-technical users. I think many consumers may therefore inadvertently decrease their bandwidth by turning on QOS. To be fair, this may not be an issue with slower internet connections. But if you have fiber internet, you would be well advised to disable this feature. Other than the above mentioned issues, the router is easy to set up. This router cannot accept third-party firmware (e.g. DD-WRT or Tomato), so if that is what you want, purchase a different model. Coverage is very good, and wi-fi signal strength seems excellent. Connections also seem very stable so far. If you are a power user, another router may be better for you. But if you are a typical user, this router is a good deal. I purchased this for $155, which is a great price for a gigabit router with above-average wi-fi.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased a larger house and wanted a router that would get signal everywhere without having to use extenders. I have the router placed in the basement, and I still get two bars in the opposite corner of the house on the 2nd floor. Speeds are good and we haven't had any issues. It does what it says it will.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the Linksys - MAX-Stream AC1900 Dual-Band Wireless Router with 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch to replace an older one. Make sure you have a new ethernet cord, tried an old one and it couldn't handle the speed. New one plugged into the wall let us get the 1gig internet we now have. Easy set up, no problems
