This router is working very well for me so far. The app makes things very easy to set up and manage. My previous router was from over a decade ago so I had to set everything up manually. The speeds are great. The app helps you prioritize your devices and set up port forwarding. I also connect it with the Echo Dot so I can give it voice commands and my family can ask it for the Guest WiFi password. My only complaint is that the power plug is sideways. It makes it easier to fit into the wall socket or power bar with other plugs, but I keep my router in a utility box in the wall. The sockets in the utility box are made to accommodate the old style of power bricks (up and down, rather than sideways).

The last WiFi router I bought was over 10 years ago, the Linksys WRT54G. Deciding I have many more devices using my WiFi today than a decade ago, I upgraded. This router works perfectly with no lag broadcasting to multiple devices. I only have a modest 15mps internet connection, but I can connect at least 5 devices at a time with no lag. An example would be that last night I was streaming WWE network live through a blu-ray player, streaming videos on my desktop, and using my iPhone via WiFi, and there was no lag or buffering between any devices. Having the ability to prioritize which device should receive the signal is also a major step up. Dual broadcast signals is a great bonus as well, making 5G devices even quicker, but with less of a frequency range.

    No Security On Guest Network

I have a 2600 sq. ft. home and can get full bars throughout the house and in every corner using the 2.4 GHz network. The 5 GHz network does not have much of a range, but that is normal for a 5 GHz network. The biggest flaw I see with this router, especially at this price point and with a reputable company as Linksys, is the lack of security on the Guest Network. While the main network allows you to use WPA-2, the guest network does not allow you to use anything. The only thing you can do with the guest network is ask for a password for users to login (similar to when you use a hotel wifi). IMO this is very unsafe for the guest using the network and really disappointing to see this feature lacking in a such a high price point router. Netgear and Asus routers at this price point have the ability to WPA-2 protect guest network, so keep that in mind if considering making this purchase. Overall the router looks great on the desk and has good range otherwise.

I didn't notice that my wifi was so slow until I bought my new router. I notice that streaming was suddenly faster with much less stalling. My signal upstairs appears to be stronger.

My daughter's family loves it. So easy to set up, and the speed is amazing. It was past time for the old router to be replaced. Now the kids can play WII, and the lap-top and iPad aren't affected.

This router expanded the range of my wifi usage as well as improved the reliability. I can use my devices to the edge of my property lines, not just in the house. I am not being constantly kicked off or have the wifi go down and having to reset the router.

If you have smart devices including Smart TV's, then this router is a must. Linksys is a great brand, great customer support, easy to install - and did I mention how it improves reception -- unbelievable. Our 4K Ultra Samsung TV is better than new. You won't be disappointed if make this selection

So, I needed an alternative wireless router other than the one that came with the cable modem we have - it didn't make it to my garage. Mostly, I picked this one based on cost and options that I needed (wireless and wired) with the intent of using in my garage only. Well, this router not only met my expectations, but exceeded them to the point that I have pretty much migrated to this as the main wireless for the house. It has better coverage and super easy to set up!!! It took me longer to mount it to the wall than to set it up. I think for the price and options this is pretty good...

I was previously using a Linksys EA3500 router along with a Linksys N750 wifi extender but I live in a 2-story home and the signal to my TV in the master bedroom was not strong enough to watch Netflix without constant buffering and it was driving me nuts. So with some hope I purchased this router and expected good results. Setup was of course a no-brainer and I was up & running in 10 minutes. The signal is definitely better but still not always great. I got a huge improvement by hooking up a TP Link travel router to my TV as a wifi adapter by setting it up as a client. I have that connected to the TV with a network cable so now the client provides it's own hard wired signal to the TV based on the wifi it's picking up from the new Linksys router. I learned that trick from the Sony TV blog on Sony's website! Pretty cool, huh? Now it works great!
