I have had Linksys routers for years with no issues and was excited to upgrade my 4 year old router that could not keep up with the new 4K setup and multiple devices. I choose this model and for the most part the setup is smooth and all of my devices connected, except my Ring video Doorbell. I spent almost 2 hours with tech support, setting up a DMZ, opening ports etc. and nothing worked. I said that’s fine, as long as it rings like a regular doorbell I can live without the video and the network is good to go. Then I went to launch Battlefield 1 multiplayer. Was not able to connect to any servers?!! To troubleshoot, I hooked up my 4 year old router and I was online within minutes and the Ring Video Doorbell was linked back up again to the network. As such, I am convinced there is an issue with this model - MAX STREAM AC1900 and I do not recommend this product especially if you game online or have a Ring Doorbell.

I got this so I would have Wi-Fi outside in my yard and it works wonderful

The free EA7500 Max Stream MU-MIMO Gigabit router was sent by Linksys for a review. I was using a Linksys N600, the Linksys EA7500 provides much faster response time using the same DSL speed. Handles up to 12 devices. I have a PC system using Win 7-SP1, 64-bit and IE 11.09. The packaging for the EA7500 router was very good and the router was easy to setup. 1. Connected router to DSL modem, turned on power, Win 7 recognized the router on startup and I created a home network for the router. 2. Started IE 11, entered http://LinksysSmartWiFi.com and the required router software was downloaded and installed. 3. Setup completed. The EA7500 router was easily installed. 4. Modified the router names for my desktop, laptop, Smartphone, tablet and everything works fine. Before using the EA7500 I was only able to use one device at a time. Now I can use my desktop, laptop, tablet and Smartphone all at the same time. The video response time using the EA7500 is much better, not much time is spent buffering the video signal. I could stream video to my desktop, tablet and Smartphone at the same time and video did not pause to buffer. Linksys created a powerful router, the EA7500 can handle up to 12 devices so you won't have to listen to arguments about connecting to the DSL line.

I've always used Netgear in the past. So far I'm very pleased with Linksys.

Haven’t had it very long but it is working as good as I expected. Will recommend.
