The 2.6 is for phone use and just regular browsing. It is also connected by cat 5 cable to another router that only is used for wifi. That one has as many users as this one. It was all set up by GEEK squad. It took them 90 minutes including talking to time warner (spectrum). More than worth the money.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My old router was giving only 0.55Mbps download and I was supposed to be getting 50Mbps so I purchased this router and after the short easy setup I was getting the 50Mbps I was supposed to. My house is about 3500 square feet and this router reaches every corner without issue. Happy with this purchase.

Great coverage and signal strength

Only wish it had separate management of parental control on the 2.5 and 5 GHz bands, so I could continue to browse on one of the bands and lock the other so kids are not on the internet all the time.

Best router to date

Since I'm a big Apple guy, I've stayed loyal to Apple Airport devices as of late. That was until the EA8500 purchase. I wanted something with amazing wireless coverage and the ease of use I was used to from Apple. Linksys nailed it with this router and it's app. Simple, easy, powerful, and awesome. I highly recommend it!

Solved m range problem
