No, I would not recommend this to a friend Much better than our old router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We had an old Netgear router that would not allow some of our devices to connect periodically - we would have to shut it off and turn it back on to reconnect. Haven't had any problems like that with this one. The only complaint is that the signal strength is a little weak in some parts of the house, and I occasionally lose connection with my phone in some spots. Didn't have that with the old one.

To boost the range of your Wi-Fi network, we can try adjusting the wireless channels for both frequency bands to what will match best with your current network environment. For the 2.4 GHz band, try channels 1, 6, 9 and 11, and channels 36, 40, 44, and 48 for the 5 GHz. While waiting ,I was looking at Routers and a very nice young man came over to see if I needed any help ,And after talking to him,as he was very knowledgeable about this product and lead me to purchasing it !! I have had an excellent service with it so far and problems with my internet as before ! Thanks Again ,Doogal
