Over rated middle of the road
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I am an cyber security analyst for a company that builds commercial routers so I am familiar their operation and what goes into them. I did not expect the same level of quality in a home based WIFI router as those that my company sells. I was simply looking to upgrade to something newer than what I had (Older Unifi Mesh setup). Considerations were cost, price point of about $200, MIMO , extended range, 5ghz WPA/WPA2, USB storage support and stable software. The setup of the device is not very complicated. The software is utilitarian and over simplified but it does work. Power consumption is low and the hardware is ok for this price range. The case is plastic as are the antenna's. Pros: Low power consumption, Easy set up for beginners. 1 USB port 1 USB/SATA port. 4 Antenna's. Long power cable and 4 port Gigabit switch. WPS can be disabled, avoid it. Cons: Dropped connections regardless of setting. Very poor coverage on 5ghz in 2 story house at about 3000 sq ft. 2.4 ghz coverage is at or below average and so called beam forming technology is simply a sales pitch. Router requires constant resets to resolve speed issues. Firmware does not allow for advanced encryption settings nor does this device support any form of VPN although it allows VPN pass through. Standing at the device I can get no more than 140mb throughput on any device on 5ghz. Average 50mb throughput on 2.4 ghz. Tested with OSX, 10.x Windows 7, Windows 10, IOS 7, Android 4 through 7 same results. Diagnostic testing with Kali Linux shows massive fragmentation regardless of settings MTU adjustments and power adjustments do not have any impact. Firmware does not appear to actually make changes. Interface is cloud based and lacks proper security controls. Linksys apparently took the worst that Belkin had to offer and crammed it into this router. Performance is poor with 1 device or multiple devices. For the price go with something else. Netgear may have its issues but shop around and educate yourself. TPlink is another option to consider and NO, you do not have to fork out $400 for a WIFI router those devices are simply over stating the truth on throughput read the fine print before you buy. I do not recommend this router

Very Stable Wi-Fi coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very Stable Wi-Fi coverage within a multi-level house, which addressed the dead areas that I experienced with other routers. The router is also working as the DHCP server within the second network segment, plus as additional firewall behind the DSL Modem/Router.

What we needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed this unit to replace the router that my sons dog broke the antennas on. This unit is giving us a much stronger signal on the main floor of the house, it is in the basement, we were having problems with the wifi signal being very weak or cutting out.

Best Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw a few others online but after using this router, it is by far the best router I've ever used. Was using a router that was just over a year old and my connection was down to half strength on my laptop, but this new router I'm never under full strength.

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went from a netgear dual broadband g router and the difference was substantial! Now I'm able to take full advantage of my Comcast data plan and im not "bottlenecked" by a slow router. Love the app for the mobile phone too. Easy set up, no complaints!

great signal, not an easy set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Linksys/ Cisco router already installed before replacing it with this system. Had problems setting system up, even though I already had router. Tech support was great and they were able to get the router functioning properly.

Good for small -medium household
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine performed as described from manufacturer. It works really well supplying a good stream wi-fi signal to 5 plus devices. Not the cheapest, Not the most capable. It's a good machine for a small to medium household.

Easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed better wifi in my home. Older router could not handle my 4k television. I exchanged this linksys for my older one. I used the same name and password and all of my wireless gadgets hooked up flawlessly. I now have a great signal in every room.

WiFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I was expecting more of an improvement in range (had a much older model); this router does live up to expectations. I also read a few reviews saying it was difficult to install - I found it very simple and straightforward.

Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good quality. I would recommend this product to a friend. I had another popular brand that I was constantly having to reboot. I had a lot of phone calls to tech support and decided to go with this brand. I have no regrets.

Excellent Router, even for the high price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for router that would allow me to connect multiple hardwired components, while also giving me great wireless range for cellphones, and tablets. I am able to walk around on my two acre property, and still have a solid wifi connection.

Awesome wifi for streaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this go replace the EA6500. The upgrade made a huge improvement in reception to the far end of the house. Video streaming on TiVo, Amazon TV Fire Stick, Apple TV, Xbox and much more improved! Could not be more pleased with the purchase.

Much needed 5ghz
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With an automated home, I was having trouble hold a wifi connection. Come to find out, it was the crowded 2.4ghz causing me trouble. I have wink connected products along with typical other Apple iPhones and iPads. Works great with AT&T internet.

Hard to tell...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded my device on the recommendation of the salesmen at the store. He advised me that this would increase my speed in dead spots in my home. After installation I found no significant improvement to the dead spots.

Solid router with a few quirks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this product for free as part of Belkin's Friends + Family Program. Of course, this doesn't impact my opinions of the product. I really like this router. It was simple to setup and manage, and provided a reliable connection. Transfers between devices on my local network were quite fast, and streaming video was a breeze. The router provides ample home coverage, and has a good variety of useful features. My only complaints were that I couldn't link the router to be remotely managed and that I sometimes had trouble communication with devices on different frequencies of the network (2.4 ghz vs 5 ghz). The user interface is unique in that it is intuitive and easier to use than other routers. The router seemed to improve my Internet speeds and overall gave solid performance.

Works well, easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a problem holding a connection for a day or two, but the problem resolved by itself. One of those mysteries involving electronic gadgets. Provides a much more stable connection than the modem provided by Comcast.

Good once configured
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had Linksys products before, and set up quite a few wireless routers, but this time I had more difficultly setting this particular one up. It does have great range.

Significant increase in wi-fi speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lynksis Dual-Band Router has proven to be effective in maximizing our wi-fi to the numerous devices throughout our home. My son is able to perform online gaming without sacrificing the speed in which our other devices function.

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router for our 2 story house. I get a full signal in all levels. I no longer have to wait for Netflix or other services to load or buffer. Very fast. I would definitely reccomend if you have 4K tv and do a lot of streaming.
