I received this product for review purposes. Is this something I would normally buy for myself? no. My husband and I own our own business from home so we do normal internet searches, emailing, video streaming, etc. I had to plug this directly into my century link router/modem since they are built in together. Which in turn makes me feel like it is no faster than my normal 2 in one. Since I live in a rural farming area century link is the only provider. I do like the ability to control a guest internet service for babysitters and people who use our internet when they are at the house for business. I also like that I can control parental control from the linksys smart wifi. But i will say, the phone app sucks!

I bought this to replace my Apple Airport Extreme and it has been working flawlessly for nearly a month now. Improved range and speed over all, Im quite happy with the upgrade. The only down side of this unit is its size, it's HUGE compare to the Apple router.

Hello I purchased this awesome lightening fast over the top high dollar Router to add to my Arris 3.0 modem and the 1080P curved Samsung 2016 model monitor, all in all the Linksys Ea 9500 Max Stream Wi-Fi Router is I think top of the line Bestbuy item it gives me more speed then my internet supplier is sending me (I didn't buy the fastest Comcast speed) and right away I noticed the speed and Range of service I get outside the house I live on a large parcel of land and it is definitely doing the job that was a unexpected bonus. It also has dedicated lines for private security and also a guest log on too. I noticed my Samsung smart TV is on the Wi-Fi without any issues. I'm very satisfied with the Linksys system and Yes worth the money paid and I researched this Router and never seen it on sale at Bestbuy either. I probably could of bought it a little cheaper but I'm NOT TAKING ANY ONLINE RISK. What I did however was buy this Router with other product and got 0% interest for two years because I made a rather large purchase of stuff and had a great Bestbuy experience with the knowledgeable employee.

Great router! Set-up was simple and easy. Love the 8 Ethernet ports. Plenty of options for the future. If you're in for a top of the line router, and want to future proof your set up, then this router is for you. Awesome priority lineup option for your most important connections. Very excited to use the MU-MIMO option.

This thing is a beast, and easily handles the 24 devices that are currently connected to it. My last router would start dropping connections, but not this it seems to take everything I can throw at it. There also is not a single dead spot in my two story house right now either.

EA9500 Setup was very easy. The free Linksys EA9500 Max-Stream™ AC5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router was sent by Linksys for a review. Smooth video play back from 4 devices at 1.5 Mbps, smooth video streaming even when Mbps varies. The speed on my DSL can vary at certain times of the day. This router will handle up to I setup the EA9500 following the setup instructions on a Windows 7 system. 1. Set Network location box opened on startup, clicked Home network. 2. Box appeared showing EA9500 was set to home network, clicked close. 3. Started browser and entered: http://LinksysSmartWi-Fi.com. 4. Smart Wi-Fi setup started and clicked check for updates. Checked install future updates automatically. 5. Used default Wi-Fi network name and password, created router password. 6. Setup was completed. Setup instructions are very clear and easy to understand. Started my laptop, detected EA9500 router, entered password and connected to router. The tablet and smart phone detected the ES9500 router and I entered new password and devices work fine. All devices were detected and I only need to enter the password for the EA9500 router. Even at 1.5 Mbps access I can view videos on PC, Laptop, Android Smart Phone and Android Tablet at the same time with smooth video viewing. I get 5 bar signal strength though out the my 1300 Sq. ft. residence.

The router is easy to setup. The range is increadiabe. It can handle all your connected devices with ease.

OK – I’ve been in IT since 1985 and have been through several home Wi-Fi routers and talked with my staff members about what’s good out there. At work we use business class WiFi routers and I’ll tell you, the Linksys Max-Stream comes pretty darn close to business class. It does look intimidating and it does need a good size area to call its home as it has a large footprint. But if you can afford it and can find a place for it in your house, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I had been using an Arris Surfboard which had some really nice features, but it seemed like every few months it would crash and I’d have to set it up from scratch again. Its coverage was terrible. The Linksys Max-Stream was extremely easy to setup and with the ability to tilt the antennae’s, I get great coverage on my main level even though it is in the basement in my office. So far it’s been rock solid and best of all my wife’s iPad is working 100% of the time. Happy Wife – Happy Life! Highly recommend the product.

I had to replace an older Asus router and the Linksys was on sale at the time. It is a very simple setup that took less than 10 minutes including plugging everything in. The range is good. I am getting about 60 feet through my one story home with nice connection and speed seems okay. This router does more than the average person probably will ever use.

Got this router to replace an orbi which replaced a netgear. I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about a router. It works extremely well without any dropping of the network, regardless of how much I download. Range is excellent without an extender and covers my whole house (3700 sq ft) 3 floors with basement. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a stable, reliable router that will meet all your needs.

Excellent router. I really like the ability to designate the 2.4 and 5GHz signals by name and password. The router has exceptional range. We live in a 3 story and over 3000 sq foot house and no issues with signal dropping. We have over 12 devices connected and no issues so far.

WIFI range very good. USB 3 handles 3 TB media drove no problems. Setup was very easy.

Very nice router, good range in a larger home. Easy setup. I would prefer more advanced settings in the interface.

So far everything moves faster since upgrading to this device. Less lag time

All I can say is, "What took me so long to get a new router?" The Linksys - Ea9500 Max-stream Ac5400 Tri-band Wi-fi Router is much faster than our old router and transmits the wi-fi signal much farther. Simple and quick to set up. I am VERY happy with it!

Good coverage and great throughput. This is a pretty stable router. Easy to setup and use.

We have 3 Smart TVs, 4 Fireboxes, a Gaming System, 2 Lap Tops and 1 desk top. I also use my work computer at home which has strong security. We could never get a signal until it was suggested to us by the internet provider to buy a new router as they only guarantee the strength of the internet to the router and through hard wiring. I live in a two story colonial and I have not had a single problem with connecting the internet on any device since I bought this router. It was well worth the money, especially since my work computer is now running super fast. I have the router on the 1st floor in the back middle of the house on top of a tall cabinet holding books. I get a great signal upstairs also. Streaming is no longer an issue.

This router is VERY FAST. The range is incredible, and it is extremely user friendly. I had it up and running.in less than five minutes. I use it for online gaming both console and PC, and video streaming from numerous providers.
