Upgraded to the Ea-9500 for the speed and WiFi coverage capabilities. Added bonus was the built in 8 LAN outputs (to connect a: My Cloud / NAS, desktop pc, and all of the connected home devices, with a port or two to spare for a laptop when needed moving large data). The wireless is super fast and provides great coverage with strong signal throughout main living area. I paired it with a LinkSys Re7000 repeater to provide seamless coverage in the basement where signal wasn't as strong. Setup was a breeze, very intuitive and well thought through setup guides. It is a bit large compared to other routers, so I put mine on an elevated stand to maintain desk top space. I haven't needed to utilize the device prioritization feature, although the app makes that quick and easy if/when I do. Using the WiFi to stream 4K content on both a smart TV (via Netflix and Vudu); and on a Roku Ultra . The devices are about 50' away from router haven't encountered the dreaded buffering circle. If you want fast WiFi, this router will not let you down.

Bought this router because we were having issues with our apple time capsule dropping wifi completely. Signal is now much stronger through the house. Only problem is that I wanted to backup our mac computers to an external drive attached to this router, but but mac formatted drives are not supported and Time machine backup will not work. It can't be that difficult to support this, and that would make it a 5 star router for me.

This router/switch is insane. It is so fast that I don't think I will need an upgrade for at least 5 years. The 8 Gbit ports are a really nice touch. It helps to have the USB 3.0 port. I just attach an external hard drive and now my family can share their media across the entire network. The next step up from this is a managed switch with wireless access points.

I love my LINKSYS MAX-STREAM AC5400 MU-MIMO Gigabit Router. It is very fast. I can now stream movies from Netflix without the worry of my movies buffering every little bit. I use wireless and wired for my computers and I am very impressed with the speed of my internet. Thank you Linksys. You've done it again. I would definitely recommend this router to anyone.

Purchase this unit because I wanted the best and yes you make the best router, I also wanted a unit that I could control from anywhere. Now for the best I have Verizon Fios for internet and I wanted a product ( yours ) that could handle up to 1 gig of down load speed. No problema your product handle the speed with no issues. What can I said, the best!!!

I wasn't expecting much of an increase in speed due to the belief that that slowest part of the whole is the weakest link. On this car my isp kicked out 35-40mbs so didn't expect much above that when hooking up this router. To my disbelief I was cranking out 65-70mbs on average. Wasn't expecting that, but totally am loving it. Would definitely recommend

In a effort to strengthen our internet connection through out our home we recently tried different wifi signal extenders, and without success we decided to upgrade to a bigger and more powerful router. This router has exceeded our expectations! Now we have a stronger signal than we ever thought was possible! This is one that is worth every penny!

This router has so much technology and can handle so much bandwidth and speed that isn't even out for consumers that you could end up saving money in the long run with your internet service provider. I have used it since around summer of last year and it has run perfect. No problems at all. Great signal all around our 2,600 sq ft house. I love it!

Awesome device. Great coverage and speeds for over 20 devices

I really appreciate the 8 giga ports on the back of the device, kept me from using a switch, now everything is "Hard Wired" right to the router...almost everything. Easy setup, and super super fast! Three gamers and two people that do primary work on the PCs. Great purchase.....Linksys keep the 8 or more ports on the routers!

We had a host of problems that were fixed by purchasing this AC5400 router. Our 2 story house has coverage everywhere now. We no longer need a repeater (which constantly needed restarting). No more buffering of movies, videos, and my son can now upload his streaming content at a great frame rate. We're happy campers now!
