So all of a sudden this expensive router decides that it doesn't want to provide us with wifi. The 2.4Ghz band doesn't work and shows as being incompatible. The 5.0Ghz band is there but you can't connect to it. There are 2 PS4's that are hard wired and they work but nothing will connect wireless. I have reset the router 3 times and nothing! I'm going to return this thing and get another one which i will replace with a different brand if this continues. One positive thing to write is that we were running 4 PS4s simultaneously without any lag. Everyone was running between 28 and 75 ping. Linksys please get your crap together and fix these issues. This router has a lot of potential but only when it works....doh!

The U/I is very good and I like the ability to access the router anywhere. The router just didn't meet my performance expectations. When I first hooked up the router a speed test showed over 180mb/s down in the furthest part of my home (Max is 200); however after several hours it dropped to 25mb/s and was even sluggish loading pages. I reset my modem and even restored the router to factory and started over and could not resolve. I was even only getting 25mb/s down 4 ft away from the router. The last straw was when i went to access the use interface again and could not connect to the router until I performed a reboot. Hooked my Time Capsule back up and was immediately registering 195mb/s down again. At the price of this router I didn't want to risk being stuck with slow speeds and having to reboot the device. It has been returned.

Picked up the EA 9500, today from my local Best Buy. I have a Macbook Air, which has no ethernet port. I tried to set it up through the Lynksissmartwifi, however, since I didn't have an internet connection, I was not able to log into the Linksys website. Luckily, my Xfinity modem is also equipped with WIFI. I was able to log into the Lynksys website, through my Xfinity Wifi router modem, and setup the device. The reason I switched from the Google WIFI Router to this one was due to the fact that I live in a large house and have many dead spots. I believed that this device would solve these problems, and increase the my Comcast internet speed. I was wrong. The EA9500 does not perform any better that the cheaper WIFI Routers. As a matter of fact, this WIFI Router's performance is substandard; I found new dead spots with this router, which I didn't think I had. The Google router, which is priced at half the cost of this router, performed ten times better. I'm not even able to connect my Samsung 55" TV to the internet with this router. I never had this issue with my previous routers. Thankfully, I purchased the Best Buy's additional warranty. It will be going back, sooner than later.
