I have been a Linksys fan for the longest. I just decided to upgrade from an ac1200 EA6350 and I am glad that I did. I have over 50 connected devices in my home. I thought about going to Velop but decided not to at this time. Setup was easy. It actually was a simple plug and play(needed a default password you can change later). As I am typing this, I am downloading a game from xbox live, updating a computer's virus software, streaming a movie from Netflix and listening music from Pandora. No buffering issues! Another great product from Linksys!

Have installed this behind an AT&T U-Verse router and everything is working correctly. This has a lot of additional ports and two USB ports for NAS devices etc. The thru put is very good, but your internet speed will be limited ti your own ISP speed. I would recommend this.

Nothing is slow that connects to this router. Is it big? YES! Is it a little alien like? Yes. Is it the best router for a large house? Yes...

Great huge router with overkill coverage antennas. For use with the linksys smartphone app was great and ability to select channel widths, and split wifi names within the app. But also you can manage on the web as well pointing your web browser at the address and manage from there. Works even better in bridge mode with killer speeds if you have your own wired (or with WiFi, switched off) gigabit router.

The only reason I finally ponied up the cash for this was to take full advantage of out gigabit internet. With mid tier access points I was getting a pretty weak signal at the corners of my house. And since I didn't want to have multiple access points, I went with the most powerful single unit I could find. This certainly did the trick. Very powerful compared to the 3 mid tier ones I tried before it. Real world speeds on my Note 5 are about 400 Mbps on 5 GHz and 90 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. I'll update if anything negative creeps up but for now A+.

The new Linksys EA9500 is truly an outstanding router. I have owned several high end routers in the past and none come close to the EA9500. To begin, the set up is very simple. Simply follow the enclosed quick set up guide and you will be up & running in a matter of minutes. Probably the easiest set up of a router I have ever encountered. The unit itself is rather large. certainly bigger than any router I have ever used before. However, in order to perform as well as it does with its eight antennas the large size is needed. How well does it work? Well, simply put performance is outstanding! Not only do I now get full signal bars in the entire house, but well into the back yard and even into the neighbors territory. And better yet, not only does the signal carry a long way, it stays strong as well. Usually with routers you loose some speed when running speed tests on the fringe areas of the routers signal. Not with this one. I can get the same maxed out speeds either right next to the router or even out in the yard. I have never had that happen. As for the ports on the back, well there is everything you could ever ask for. Eight Gigabit Ethernet ports and USB 2.0 & 3.0 as well. All these ports along with the MIMO technology and you will not have to worry about this becoming outdated anytime soon. In fact, I doubt most could even really put this router to its full potential right now. It really is the top of the router food chain and will be for sometime to come. My only negative with this unit is with a part of the design. I have had routers in the past that have holes on the bottom that allow you to hang it on the wall like a picture frame. This one does not. Considering the size of this unit, the ability to hang it on the wall to get it out of the way would have been nice. maybe that would have affected the performance, I don't know. But still, if you are looking at this unit then you need to keep its size in mind. I don't really see its large size as a negative. I am sure the size is required to cram all of the technology into it. But it is something to consider. All in all I can say I am overjoyed with the performance of the EA9500. Its safe to say this will be the only router I will need for a very long time!

If you want the best router ever created this is it, but it does come with a price. It also has the capability to stream high definition which no other router can do at this time. It's multi band capabilities will allow you to run the latest and oldest products all from the same router. Has multiple USB ports and the WIFI app allows you to control the router even when you are not home. Linksys has always outdone themselves over and over again. Bar none you will not be disappointed with this router and it's every easy to setup.

This is one bad boy! A little costly but definitely worth it, if you want a good router. I have over 20+ Devices flowing through this bad boy and never have any issues. I split these devices between 2.4 & 5GHz and the system alone will switch the devices when needed for you. You even have a guest account for friends or family that visit if you do not want them on your main account. This unit is a must have and will complete your system.

If you stream to more than 1 or 2 wifi devices at a time you need an upgraded router. this was very easy to setup and greatly improved our streaming performance. Services like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu used to take varying amount of time to load shows, rewind, fast forward etc. since upgrading to this router they respond immediately like a cable channel on my set top box. If you have fast internet speed and are using a single thread router you're not getting the performance you should.

This modem in most cases is overkill. But I have a very new energy efficient home and wifi doesn't like to travel through the walls. This modem has cut through those problems like a hot knife through butter. A Giant improvement from not only the wireless modem that the cable company provided but a giant improvement from the previous after market wireless router I was using as well.. If you have a problem with signal strength because your walls are think and highly insulated, then I would recommend this router.
